You know what sucks?
Growing away from someone.
It doesn't matter that they know you like the back of their hand.
It doesn't matter that you know every detail about their lives
It doesn't matter that they know when you're lying
It doesn't matter that you memorize all of their mannerisms and even adopt some.
It doesn't matter because at the end of the day they aren't yours to keep and for what ever reason you're no longer a part of their lives and no matter how hard it is or how much it hurts to keep the distance you have to respect it.
It's hard to resist the urge to dial their number when your life goes down hill
We'd like to believe it's even harder for them.
