Bittersweet truth

"If you're happy I'm happy" is actually one of the most heartbreaking statements ever. Most often than not, the people who say that are not happy and feel that they have no choice but to invalidate their feelings because seeing someone you love and care about smile is far more important than the pain you feel when you see them happier with someone else

I've said that statement way to many times and have been left unhappy every time. 

You see, the truth is:

Every time he holds your hand, I wish it were me

Everytime he kisses your lips, I wish I had the privelage to

Everytime he tells you he loves you, I wish I had the courage to

Seeing you so happy with someone else does not make me happy.

I'm at a crossroads.

I know I can't make you feel the way he does

I know I'm not good enough for you

I know you deserve better than what I could give you

But he makes you smile bigger than I ever could

And he makes you happier than I ever could

So I'm going to tell you what you want to hear,

"If you're happy, I'm happy"
