Leah lay with her back to the door. She hadn't wanted to pull away, but the chill of his lip ring made her wonder what was happening. She was half asleep and as far into her thoughts as she could go, so she never heard someone walk into the bedroom.

The side of the mattress leaned underneath someone's weight and she rolled over, catching a glimpse of Noctis's bright blue eyes.

"I'm sorry. I should not have kissed you." He said, never making eye contact.

"I didn't mind. You are a really good kisser." Her voice was so small that he could barely make out what she was saying.

"Oh yeah, and thank you." He said.

"For what?"

"Everything."

Noctis walked down the stairs quietly. The gentle strum of an acoustic guitar came from the living room. He poked his head around the corner and saw Vanz sitting quietly on the couch (which had been cleaned up) strumming her fingers softly over the strings. She was whispering a song that he could barely hear,

Kiss it all better

I'm not ready

To go.

It's not your fault, love,

You didn't know,

You didn't know~

He stepped into the room and she stopped playing to look at him,

"You play the guitar beautifully."

"Sorry, it usually has piano accompaniment. And, this song is supposed to be sung off key."

"Do you know the rest of the song?"

"Well of course, I did write the lyrics."

"There's more to you than appears."

"It's not just me either, Leah can play piano and sing in Japanese." The last portion of that sentence made her smile.

"Can you play any other instruments?"

"Electric guitar, bass, piano, and the violin. But I'm more of a vocalist whenever Leah's not singing."

"You two sing well together."

What he said shocked her, everyone had always complimented Leah for vocals, they never even noticed her.

"Thanks."

Leah came walking down the stairs in shorts and a sweatshirt with a gray beanie covering her hair, pins covering the front of it.

"Hey Vanz, wanna go to the mall?"

She walked into the closet in the hallway and pulled a skateboard out with four brightly colored wheels which matched her Converse, which were neon pink, blue, green, and orange.

"Sure grab mine out, too, let me get my shoes."

~NOTICE~

I do not own the lyrics that Vanz sings. That is the song: Kiss it all better
