I'm skipping to where they're on their way to the toy box. Don't want you to be confused.

Leah propped one arm up on the door of the car while the other hand rested on the side of the steering wheel. Vanz sat in the passenger side seat. Noctis and Gabriel sat in the back staring out the window.
Noctis tapped Gabriel on the arm and said something low enough that he could barely hear his own voice. Leah looked in the rear view mirror and raised an eyebrow, "what's so funny?"
The guys stopped laughing and Gabriel shook his head, "it's a secret."
Vanz looked at Leah and pointed, "hey, there's the road."
Leah turned onto a small side road shaded by old hardwood trees. They came upon a clearing with a large steel building taking up three-fourths of it.
"The toy box."
Noctis and Gabriel looked at each other worriedly, "they came here to kill us." Gabriel said.
"No. Come on, I think you'll like this." Leah said.
They got out of the car and Vanz unlocked the side door beside the large garage door in the front. Noctis' eyes widened and a large grin stretched across his face.
"You have Ferraris!"
"More than that. We have Lamborghini's, Vipers, Mustangs, and my personal favorite, the Corvette." Leah said.
"A big garage." Gabriel said.
"Yeah, they aren't as much mine as they are Leah's though. She's obsessed with sports cars." Vanz said.
"Same with me and Noctis. I'm not as obsessed with them as he is. I guess they were made for each other." Gabriel said, watching Leah raise the good up and start naming off engine parts that were 'unique' to the car.
"Yeah." Vanz said.
Why can't I keep my cool around him? she thought.
Gabriel's fingertips brushed against her hand and sent chills down her spine.
I don't like this. I can't like him. All guys are the same. She thought.
"Vanz, can I ask you a question?" Gabriel asked.
"Um, yeah, sure." She said.
"What do you really think about me?"
"Well, for starters, you are one of my best friends. You frustrate me all of the time, but I don't really mind. It's the weird kind that I like. The kind that me and Leah put up with between each other. So, I don't know, I guess you're like a brother to me now."
"Cool, I just didn't know if you even really liked me." Gabriel said.
Of course. It figures that she only sees me as a brother. Noctis always was the one with charm. He thought.
