Leah lay down and covered her face with a pillow, she didn't know why she hit him, he really didn't deserve it. I am such a bitch. she thought.
She could hear the other four laughing in the other room, they're proobably laughing at me.
Why can't I do anything right? I end up fucking everything up all the time. Even Noctis doesn't screw up as much as i do and he's extreamly clumsy. I have gone my entire life screwing everything up for everyone.
"Damn it," she mumbled, "not here. I need to try to get over my depression."
"Hey," Gabriel stood at the door, "you okay?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah, thanks dude." Leah said.
"Can I ask you something? It's about Vanz."
"Yeah, ask away, i have all day." Leah said, sitting up.
Gabriel shut the door and walked over to her, "Uhm, i know that it is really early, but i need to know for later, do you think she would agree to marry me?" he was awkward and quiet.
Leah narrowed her eyes and crossed her legs in front of her, "Well, first of all, don't you think that you would need permission to marry her--my permission? Second, I don't think she would, i know she would. But she would want to wait a while longer, a few months maybe, maybe wait until her birthday next year in July."
"Oh, okay, sorry, it's just sort of weird because I haven't ever done this before." he rubbed the back of his neck and laughed.
"Thank you, I know that you have had some problems, but, you have taken really good care of Vanz and I appreciate that." Leah said.
"I just do what I think is right, even though my judgment isn't the best sometimes."
"I know, but she never has trusted guys and the way she looks at you, that is a look that I haven't ever seen. She really does love you and that makes me unbelievably happy to know that she has found someone that will love her back."
"I could say the same about you and Noctis. God, I think I owe you more than I could ever give." He rubbed his face a paced once.
"What do you mean?" Leah asked.
"If you hadn't asked him to get dinner with you that day, he most likely wouldn't be here. I am afraid that he would have already attempted suicide, and succeeded. You don't know how grateful I am that he is happy. His smile is real when he is with you. You and Vanz, you are the greatest things to happen to us."
Leah flushed and looked down, no one had complimented her like that. She had no idea how to accept such a statement. "Uh, uhm, thanks. I think."
Gabriel pat her on the head and laughed, "No problem. Oh, and before I forget, would you mind helping me search for rings?"
"Absolutely. We can start when we get back home."
Gabriel left with a smile plastered to his face.
You are the greatest things to happen to us.
_____________
Just a bit of something different.
This is cute but sad. Vanz would take the compliment with her epic ness and be proud. Yet, Leah doesn't know how to take compliments because of how low her self esteem is.
