"Didn't your father help you with the passing of your mother?" I asked him.

"You see that's the problem, he never cared. Never payed attention to me nor my siblings. My sister was practically a mom to me and my brother. She took care of us and helped me in so many ways. I can never thank her enough" he replied

"So you're doing the same exact thing your father did to you? Why repeat the story Ethan? Make the story change, do it before it's too late and you'll forever regret not having a close relationship with all your kids"

"Blake it's not that simple"

"Seriously? I think is more than simple. Later in the morning you're staying home and spending the day with your kids. They won't go school and you're staying" I warn

"Oh hell no, I can't miss work" He repeats for the hundredth time.

"The fuck you can Ethan. You're staying" I insist

"Watch your fucking language Diamond"

"hypocrite" we both laugh

"Fine I'll stay for the day, I'll take them to the zoo"

"Good" I stand up and put our cups in the sink. And put the honey back in the cabinet. We both walk upstairs and our rooms are right in front of each other

"goodnight" I say

"Goodnight Blake"

"And thank you" He adds

"As long as you finally understood, and no need to thank me" He smiles and we go in our rooms. Why am I blushing ?

"Blake! Why didn't you wake us up!" The kids yell coming in my room.

"You're taking a day off. Now leave me alone!" They start cheering and tackle me in bed.

"Don't you dare Alex!" I shout but he ignored me and started tickling me

"Okay stop!" I say laughing

"What are you delinquents doing in blake's room?" Ethan asked. They all get off my bed and look down.

"With out me!" He yells and now they all jumped in my bed. Ethan starts tickling me and I try pushing him off but he's too strong.

"Ethan get off me!" I yell. I roll over, he grabs me before he fell. And now he's on the ground and I fell on top of him.

"Nice going idiot" I mumble and he chuckles. We both heard the kids whispering that we're going to kiss.

"Um can you let go?" I ask.

"You're so beautiful Blake" He whispered

"What's going on here" Aaliyah and Xavier say coming in. We both quickly stand up and I fix my hair.

"They were about to kiss!" All the kids say in unison

"No we weren't !" Ethan and I said. Aaliyah sends me a huge smile and I mouth 'stop' and she laughs

"Shouldn't you boogers get ready for school?" Xavier asked

"No Blake said we're not going today. And don't you dare convince her to take us!" Chris tells him and Xavier puts his hands up in defense.

"Actually Aaliyah and Xavier you're not going either" Ethan says

"What why? And aren't you the one that says education is too important?" Xavier mocks

"Well yeah, but I'm taking you all to the zoo"

"The zoo? Seriously dad?! We're not 5" Bailey said

"Yeah you're not 5 but Sky is. Now all of you go change because we're leaving in 20 minutes" He says. They all look at him weird and then look at me confused.

"Why are you all just staring? Go change!" He said and they all look surprised and run out the room to get ready. I jump back in bed and cover myself.

"What are you doing Blake? You're coming as well"

"What? No! When I told you to spend time with them I meant just you 8"

"Well I had different plans. Now be ready in 18!" He runs out my room closing the door. I get out of bed and start getting ready.

"Oh look at the lion!" Sky says with excitement. I smile every time she speaks and still find it unbelievable that she spoke again.

"So you and my dad" Aaliyah winks

"No, he's my boss and I have boyfriend Liya"

"You have a boyfriend!?" She yells and they all look at us

"It's not a big deal!" I tell her

"How come you never told me?" She asked

"You didn't ask" she rolls her playfully and laughs

"Anyways, we need to have a long talk Blake"

"Yeah we do Diamond" Ethan said. He walks away with all kids and I stay behind with Aaliyah and Xavier

"Why didn't he go work?" Xavier asked

"Well we were talking and I told him to take a day off, for you kids"

"Who are you? God? My dad has never took a day off especially to just come to a zoo!" Aaliyah said

"Not just the zoo, but come here with all of you. He needed this and so did you guys. Look how happy your siblings look and look at him" They look at them and smile to themselves

"Thank you Blake" They both say

"Why are you guys thanking me? All he needed was someone to tell him what he's missing out on. Which is you guys. You two are turning 18 in a few months and he's missed 2 years already. Now let's just have fun and enjoy this day"
