Chapter Three

I woke up the following morning, feeling well rested from yesterday's journey and from the spar with Sasuke; however, I couldn’t help but feel a bit sore from my lack in training recently. ‘I’m going to have to change that soon.’ The sun was shining through my window and the birds were chirping loudly outside, just another typical morning. I sat up on the bed, stretching my arms in the process before groggily rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I got up from the depths of my comfortable bed, yawning a bit as I began doing my bed, spreading all the sheets into the perfect position. It was then that someone rang my doorbell and I quickly dashed out of my room, towards the hallway. A curious look appeared over my features as I unlocked the door and opened it to see Sasuke Uchiha standing there. Sasuke picked up his gaze from the floor and when his gaze met mine, his face began to glow a slight shade of red. I was a bit confused by his actions, so I looked down at myself to see that I was still wearing the tiny, white nightgown. I could feel my face grow red as I stepped to the side to allow Sasuke to enter. "Why are you here?" I asked, not knowing what was going on and ignoring the fact that I lacked proper clothing in Sasuke’s presence.

"Kakashi Sensei asked me to show you around Konoha today," Sasuke replied, trying his best not to look at me directly. I appreciated his attempt, but I was still able to catch him glancing at me whenever he thought he could steal a peek. I thought it was a bit adorable how he was trying his hardest to suppress his reaction, but I kept my thoughts to myself. There was honestly no point in making my tour guide uncomfortable for the rest of the day.

"Alright then. Let me get dressed and we can leave," I said, feeling happy that I had something to do today. I dashed back into my room and locked the door behind me, not wanting anyone to enter while I was getting dressed. I opened the door to my closet and took some clothes out. Quickly, I changed into a pair of white shorts, slipping my bare feet into my shinobi sandals at the same time. I also changed into a blue tank top before I grabbed my weapons pouch and tied it around my right thigh. Then I tied my Snow headband around my left shoulder. I unlocked my bedroom door and walked out to see that Sasuke was sitting on the couch, waiting for me. I quickly placed my hair in a high ponytail as I approached him. When Sasuke saw me coming, he just stared and that brought a smirk to my face. "What?" I asked innocently, knowing exactly why he was acting like that, "is there a problem with the way that I look right now?"

Sasuke didn't answer, but he did smirk at my remark. He stood up from the couch and grabbed my hand. Sasuke lead me out of the apartment building and for the next two hours, Sasuke showed me everything that there was to see in Konohagakure, from the ninja Academy to the Hokage Monument. I was deeply impressed with Konoha's beauty, but it also made me miss my home. Sasuke showed me the training grounds last, the same area where we fought the previous day. I decided that I should train while I was staying in Konoha because I haven't done any kind of training since I was too preoccupied with my father's illness. "Sasuke if you don't mind, I would like to train a bit," I said, looking at him, "if you want, you can stay and watch. I would train with you, but I feel that I should do this on my own."

"Alright," he replied as he walked over to a nearby tree and sat down. From under the tree, he watched me, paying extreme attention to what I was going to do. I didn't feel uncomfortable with Sasuke watching me because in the past, I always had to perform in front of my father and my tutors, and even a crowd of spectators would watch my sessions with my tutors. I was an expert in ninjutsu, so I decided that I should work on my taijutsu since it was my weakest form. I walked up to a tree and began throwing simple punches at it. I never wanted to hurt anybody when I was training, so I always practiced on walls or trees so I would be able to release large amounts of chakra at once. After I threw simple attacks at the tree, I began doing more complicated combinations of kicks and punches. The bark on the tree began to break off, but I didn't notice since most of attention was on performing my best. Soon, I forgot that Sasuke was even watching me. I allowed my anger to come out as my memories from my past returned to haunt me.
