Harry was running to the dungeons after having been at the unattended quidditch pitch. He had been there for nearly an hour preparing for the best time of his life with his friends and cousin. He ran and ran and didn't stop. He ignored the pain in his stomach. He knew it was from the lack of food all day. He didn't want to eat just yet, though. He wanted to wait till their fun day was over.
Reaching the entrance wall to the Slytherin Common Room, Harry slowed down. "Salazar," he said out of breath. The wall separated in half and slid open for Harry. He stepped in and began to jog up the stairs to his shared dormitory. Once he reached the room, he went over to his trunk and got out his special robes he used when they played quidditch by themselves. It was never like the real game, though, since they didn't have enough players.
After getting his clothing, he went to Dudley's and got his cousin's robes for the same purpose out. He continued to do the same with Draco's trunk and the other boys that had stayed for the holiday. When he was placing the last robe out on Blaise's bed, he heard footsteps coming to the room. "Blimey, Harry! What's all this?" asked Blaise. "Yeah. Why'd you get all our robes out?" asked Draco confused.
Dudley stayed silent. He felt something happened to Harry. Something before he came back. He wanted to talk to him before they did anything for the rest of the day. He wanted to talk without the others hearing. He wanted to make sure his younger cousin was alright and not feeling bad or anything.
Harry turned around to face them all. "I got a fun surprise for all of you. Put them on and then I'll lead the way" said Harry smiling with joy. "Okay, this better be good" said Blaise going to his bed and picking up his robes . The other boys all did the same and changed. Harry had been the first to finish dressing and waited by the door.
Once they were nearly done, Harry started jogging down the stairs. The others started to jog after him one by one, as they finished dressing. "Follow me" said Harry determinedly when he saw all of them were done. He walked a little fast, but not running, to the nearest exit of the castle and led them to the quidditch pitch.
All the boys walked slower as they came in view of the pitch, watching in awe and amusement at the sight before them. There before them were just enough brooms laid out on the ground, with a whole set of the balls used to play. There was a box containing two bludgers, a quaffle, and a snitch. "Sorry about the brooms. They were the best I could find" said Harry. "Are you kidding? This is awesome! I can't believe you did all this" said Blaise.
Harry smiled and looked beyond the quidditch pitch. "This isn't the only thing I have planned. Oh, and I invited a few people, if that's alright" said Harry hoping it was okay his friends he met on the train could join. He saw from where he was looking, that they were coming. "Hey Harry! We can come see him afterwards" shouted Ron's voice excitedly. "That's great, Ron!" shouted Harry. He couldn't wait till after their little game of quidditch.
Ron came running up to Harry alongside his friend in second year, Cedric. "Who are they?" asked Draco. "Oh, they're my friends I met on the train. The one with red hair is Ron and the older one is Cedric" said Harry. "Oh. Hufflepuffs? Do they play good?" asked Draco. "I don't know. I've never really seen them play. I'm sure they'll do alright, though" said Harry.
The two Hufflepuffs finally made their way to the group of Slytherins and smiled in a friendly manner. "Hello, I'm Ron Weasley" said the younger one with red hair and green eyes. Draco would have laughed had it not been for the fact that the red head was not disrespecting him and that they were in the presence of an older year. "And I'm Cedric Diggory" said the older boy with darker hair and kind grey eyes.
Draco seemed to think for a moment before he responded. "Aren't you the Hufflepuff seeker?" asked Draco. "Yeah, I am. Are you thinking of being a seeker for Slytherin?" asked Cedric. "Maybe. Either that or chaser, " said Draco shrugging. "I know I'll get a position either way though, with my father's intimidation." Cedric nodded and then looked at the brooms resting on the ground. "You should still try to get on the team yourself. It would make you happier and proud" said Cedric.
