Damon's Desire

Chapter 9

So cold

(After the hotel incident with J being dropped off at Tyler's.)

I hated leaving her with those two but I had enough of having feelings of pain towards a human. Nothing I have ever felt was this bad. She was practically dead. I wasn't even sure she was alive for a moment.  She saw me so shes going to know I was there and left her. Now she is really going to hate me. I was losing control of my anger passing every red light and stop sign. I was home rather quick.  I sped in my house grabbing all the blood and scotch I could get my hands on. None of it helped my pain.  I should have stayed and waited for her to feel better. She would have forgave me for never calling but I never went back to see her at Tyler's.

I let a couple of days go by before answering Mason Lockwood's call. He was calling me from Tyler's house. I told myself,  I only answered to make sure she didn't turn to a vampire.

"I have been giving her your blood. Not sure what to tell her it is." Mason said.

"Shes awake?" I asked.

"Sometimes. She won't drink the blood."

"Why not?" I asked upset.

"Shes probably having problems swallowing. Are you coming back? She asked about you." He mentioned.

"I can't. She saw me and I don't want to compel her."

"I doubt she recalls anything. Why else would she ask for you? You need to get her and take her to your place. Tyler is not ok with her being here." Mason told me.

"What is the big deal? She isn't moving in! I am not seeing her again. Tell her I went out of town for good." I became angry.

"Why do we have to take care of your dirty work? I'm telling her you're going to be in touch soon. I'm not going to tell her you abandoned her."

"Tell her whatever lie you want doesn't make a difference to me. I'm not taking care of a human." I hung up.

I had not laid in bed yet. The sun came and I was still sitting on my leather recliner. I drank over six bottles of scotch and three of Jack Daniels whisky. I had all but one of my blood bags. I haven't stood up since hanging up with Mason. When my phone rang, I didn't look who it was. I don't think I was able to see the call if I tried.

"What?" I slurred.

"You're drunk already?" Stefan asked.

"What do you want Stefan I am having one of those days." I rubbed my eyes.

"I was looking into that wolf issue. We have an idea.-"

"I don't care. I am over that. Let them come again." I mumbled trying to drink from another bottle of whiskey.

"What is going on with you? How much have you had to drink?" Stefan asked.

"No idea. I am going to need some bags. I don't have any left. I am not going out." I tried to not sound completely hammered.

"How do you not have any bags left?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders realizing he can't see me. I began laughing.

"What is funny? How am I going to get you bags?" Stefan raised his voice.

"I didn't think you would. I can find a meal in town." I said taking another long swig.

"I will get you blood bags. Just stay home. I'll bring them soon. You won't be gone right?"

"Nope. Bring some more of that old liquor." I told him.
