Chapter 18 

Fall for you

 (Before Damon enters the Lockwood mansion.)

When we got inside there was no one around. Stefan assumed they would all be in the basement where Mason's brother would chain himself up. He was right. I walked in on J chained to the wall. She was in obvious pain and screaming. I grew angry at Mason for letting this happen. The Witch he brought to help was one of the oldest Witches from Salem. I knew right away this would be more difficult than first anticipated.  It made me sick hearing her call Mason for help. He was the one that caused this in the first place. Every minute felt like and hour to me.  Gabriella began to show how she worked her gift. She showed us by throwing J into the wall.  Mason simultaneously charged for J with me but we were stopped by Gabriella's hands.

"Why do you have to do that?" Mason asked her.

"You asked for my help! Don't ask me about how things are done." She snapped at him.

I could see he wanted to rip her apart. As close to the full moon that it is today we are lucky to not have already killed each other.  J was completely soaked in pain. I noticed her eyes were focused on Rick. I turned to look at him. He was armed with Wolfs bane. I knew Mason and Tyler were not going to let him kill her. Rick didn't have diluted Wolfs bane like we carried. His was pure and some of the strongest. Since I was so focused on the three of them I didn't notice that J had freed her legs. She charged at Rick who charged at her.  Mason jumped on Rick stopping him from attacking J.

"What are you doing? You don't have to do that?" Mason told Rick.

Tyler held on to J, burning together with the Wolfs bane and spell taking the curse out.

"She was getting away. What are you going to do when she kills?" Rick asked.

"You have to get out of here Rick!" Tyler shouted.

He was losing his grip on J who was trying to get free hurting anyone in her path. That includes me. Rick left the room with a warning to Mason. I knew having everyone here would cause problems but I thought also it would help show J we are trying to help. Bonnie helped get Tyler away from J. The only two people J had not tried to hurt was Tyler and Mason. I had moments during this that I wanted to walk away from it all. She wanted him so bad she should keep him then they both will die by Mason's own kind.  Mason Lockwood seems to not want this to end. Maybe I was just angry but he seemed to enjoy me watching the woman I love turn into him. I walked over to him and argued with him.

"You see what you did? This is what happens when you cant control yourself!" I yelled at him.

He ignored me and kept his eyes focused on J. He smiled at her, she stared back. Nothing I said got his attention.  He whispered I love you to her which made J break down. Suddenly she turned her anger on me. I felt like driving a stake through my heart. Jaysi pulled on the chains to attack me. I walked closer to her. 

"Stop J, I didn't do this to you! I came here to help you. None of this was my idea. It was all Mason's." I tried to get it through her head.

She gave me an evil orange eye look that made me angry. Then what she said made me sick to my stomach.

"Because he loves me." She said.

I gave her a look of disgust. 

"I doubt that. He could be with you if he wanted. He's afraid this will happen. He's saving his own ass." I told her.

I knew she was going to attack me. I smirked at her and held back killing her. My fangs and red eyes appeared in front of J for the first time. She hid her expression well enough to look like she wasn't scared.  I knew she was. She tried to hit me again.
