Kim Taehyung and Kim Namjoon never really got along when they first met. Even if they were roommates, they didn't talk because they didn't really know or like each other. They were both part of the same band, so they had to work together, but they didn't do any one on one projects together.
That was, until they were put together for a song.
"Taehyung, Namjoon, I want you two to do a Cypher together." Their manager told them. They looked at each other in disbelief.
Namjoon has been in many Cyphers, so he knew what to do. Taehyung has not, so they knew Namjoon had to teach him. This was a nightmare to both of them, because they didn't really know each other well even after four years.
"So... Taehyung... we should probably start writing lyrics." Namjoon says, and Taehyung nods.
"Okay."
They work together to come up with lyrics, and try it on a nearby piano to find a rhythm. The rhythm was pretty fast, so they missed some parts, but they had the overall gist.
"We should show this to the manager and then we can go to the music studio." Namjoon says, and Taehyung nods, following Namjoon to the manager.
They talk to the manager about it, and the manager nods his head in approval. They go to the music studio and record some of it, but it was already late, so they saved it on a drive and left. That night, Namjoon and Taehyung talked and planned, which amazed the other members. They'd never seen them like this before.
The next day, Namjoon and Taehyung went to the music studio early to finish their Cypher. When it was finished, they gave the drive to the manager, and he listened to it. He was amazed. For Taehyung's first time, he did amazing on the rapping. The flow of the music was amazing, and he was taken aback. Namjoon and Taehyung glanced at each other nervously, but smiled when the manager said he really liked it.
When it was uploaded publicly that night, Namjoon and Taehyung listened to it with the other members. They were surprised on how well they did, and congratulated them.
That night, Taehyung and Namjoon were closer than friends. The unity between them had grown to being like brothers, and they were happy about it.
