Jake's POV

Lunch was finally over and I was dumping out my tray I still had that horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach thinking about Lexi. It was my fault she left. I sighed and headed towards the doors only to be greated once again by Todd and Matt.
"Hey dude theres a party tomorrow night, wanna come?"
Ashley was behind him smiling flirtaciously at me makinf me internally roll my eyes. I swear she's the only girl in this school that acts like her though everyone else is pretty nice so far including Todd.
"Sure mind if Matt brings his girlfriend."
"Sure man" I was about to walk away when I thought of something else.
"Hey can my friend Mark and his girlfriend come as well?"
"Sure the more the better."
I chuckled walking off I'm pretty sure that's not the right phrase. I walked to my next class with Matt by my side. We got to class and I sat in the back Mark and Jasmine were in this class too as me and Matt continued talking seeing as the teacher hadn't shown up yet, I felt an arm wrap around myy chest.
"Hey baby" Oh my jesus it was ashley.
I looked around the room quickly trying to find the teacher nope not there yet I saw a few looks that the girls and guys both gave ashley and they were rather disguisted by her behavior. I didn't want to hurt her feelings knowing there could be something else going on but this is just going to far. I pried her hands off me.
"Hi ashley" I said trying to scoot away from her.
Unfortunatly though she mistook that as me trying to make room for her. Jake just be nice and keep your cool. I tried my best to distract her so I asked her a question.
"Where's the teacher?"
"Oh Mrs.gerald she only shows up like twice a week."
Great I get to spend class with ashley. I spent the rest of class trying to keep her away from me and by the end of class I practically running, I could hear matt and Mark laughing behind me. Matt and I headed to my next class. She was in the class too by the time we got there, there were only two seats left one next to her and the other next to Carla so I told Matt to go ahead and sit next to her. Luckily I was able to ignore Ashley the whole time and kept my eyes focused on the teacher and our work. When the bell rang I walked out of class and me and matt walked to the next one but Todd caught up with us he was in my next class.
"Hey dude ready for the party? It's going to be great"
I just nodded my head trying to pay attention. Suddenly the teacher appeared and my jaw almost hit the floor this lady had to be in her late ninties. She wrote on the board
'lost my voice so for today talk amongst yourselves'
When she left the room I had to do it.
"Todd how old is she?!?"
Todd looked at me funny and burst out laughing
"Dude she's only about fifty or sixty"
I stared at him shocked
"You've got to be kidding me!"
"no but dude trust me don't do drugs or smoke that's what'll happen to ya" We all laughed
Finally it was to end of the day and we all headed home. Matt and I went for a run. I needed some time to think and Matt needed time to run. The run wasn't helping much my mind kept wandering to Lexi 'Is she okay?', 'Is she hurt?', 'Was she kidnapped?', 'Did she find someone else?' With that I could feel my heart shatter. I froze and layed down no she couldn't have I'd know by know. I tried my best to calm myself down though it really wasn't working well. I rolled over on my back putting my paws over my eyes while matt sat there looking at me funny. I faced him and sighed heading back to the house.
LEXI'S POV

Well this is it.........there's no turning back after this. I started running hoping I made the right decision.
