Chapter 28

JAKE'S POV

It was around ehh maybe three in the morning or something like that, I looked over at Lexi sleeping her back was too me and she was breathing evenly. I don't know why but her asleep makes her look so vunerable, normally that would bother me some but  I don't like this at all considering were we are. I put my arm around her waist and slowly and carefully pulled her towards me not wanting to wake her up. I pulled her till her back was up against my chest and I could feel the even tempo of her breathing. I wrapped my arm around her and she uncousiouly curled a bit so she fit into me better. I sighed feeling a little better I looked around our room no our prison one more time and feel asleep.

I woke up again but this time it was because of a small shock I felt on my neck, suddenly the events of last night flashed through my head again. Fuck I looked over and Lexi was still asleep maybe he was going to let me wake her up. I made a movement to shake her and wake her up but I felt a small shock, I looked around confused what was that about? I went to shake her again and the same thing happened, I got out of bed and I heard a small knock on the door. I went to it and opened it and it was Mr.Jenkins, I growled quietly not wanting to wake Lexi up.

"Come outside for a moment Jake I need to speak with you" I looked back at Lexi and nodded my head quietly closing the door behind me.

"What do you want Jenkins" He glared at me

"You boy will show me some respect." Seriosuly fuck him

"RESPECT?!? RESPECT?!?, who the hell are you to tell me to show you respect! You kidnapped both me and my mate, locked us in a room and then put collars on us telling us you own us like some fucking dogs! Well sorry buddy but respect is something that has to be earned, and so far your not doing to good of a job!" I whispered yelled all the stuff trying no to wake Lexi up. I huffed and then crossed my arms over my chest.

He looked beet red like he was about to explode, He held up the shocking remote thing and I froze. That's going to hurt Lexi. I held up my hands as if I was surrendering so that he wouldn't shock her.

"Good boy" He said as if I were a dog.

"As I was saying boy, I have a proposal for you. You could help me with my plan and we could leave Lexi out of this whole thing. She could just wait on the side lines like a perfect little mate. She'll respect you, you know you will have put yourself on the line to save her."

For a moment I almost believed him but I knew better than that, Lexi wouldn't respect me for doing such a thing she would hate me and never speak to me again. Anyway I would never turn against my own kind even if it was to save my own mate she would understand I just know it. I'm also not letting this guy get his way, he can't think he owns us. I stepped back from him shaking my head.

"No Jenkins I'm not doing this I will never do this"

He stepped towards me trying to intimidate me,

"You will regret this and so will Lexi"

 I stepped back for a moment but then realized that he didn't have the bodyguards with him. Apparently he thought I was going to agree with him, I stepped towards him.

"No Jenkins If you hurt Lexi you'll regret it" I almost punched him but he held up the button for the shock collar.

I turned around a walked off and opened the door I was about to close it when I stuck my head out one last time.

"Whether you think so or not, we will get out of here my pack is already on its way and you people stand no chance" I closed my door and walked back to the bed where Lexi was still sleeping.
