chapter 37

JAKE'SPOV

I sat down on my bed exhausted, I've searching for  her for over three hours and I still haven't found her the guys are all searching for her at the moment. I layed back down in mmy bed I thought she was starting to like the pack and well me. Truthfully I don't want to drag her back here like the other times, if she doesn't want to be with me well her happiness is whats most important to me. I feel asleep dreaming that she would come back to me but when I woke the dream came crashing down. I woke up and trudged to the kitchen apparently everyone knew because they all looked at me with pity filled eyes. I just looked away and grabbed a glass of juice, sitting down at the table.

"We looked for her Jake but we can't find her. For all we know she could be a hundred miles away." Matt said gripping my shoulder and sadness filling his eyes. 

Jake and the rest of the pack had grown very found with her. She made everyone laugh and feel happy.  I wish I could use the tracker just to know she's safe but we can't, it got damaged when we were fighting with Mr.Jenkins and his guys. It was built to be able to withstand from falling off and the chain breaking and what not but the tracker itself broke, I think it hit a concrete wall and cracked or something all I know is it was cracked and not working. I just sighed

"It's alright matt theres nothing else we can do." 

I got up and headed towards the basement to run off some of my anxiety and anger. It didn't work though because after three hours I still felt the same. Tired I  walked up the steps and sat on the couch to watch Tv with some people from my pack and the other pack. It was on comercial but spongebob came on. Dammit I looked at the screen blankly this is Lexi's favorite show, I saw the tv flip of real fast it was matt.

"Come on dude lets go outside we need to do a few things."

I followed him

"What do we need to do?"

"We need to register for a new school for everyone"

"We are already going to a school?" I questioned him

"We need to start of on a new leaf without anyone knowing us. I think it'll be good for everyone if we attend another school they won't know we're werewolves and they won't think we're different anymore than they are."

I thought it over for a few. and nodded 

"Yea I guess you're right"

We got in the car and headed for the closest school besides the one we were originally attending. It wasn't too far away. It wasn't too hard to sign everyone up, though people may question how we were able to do it, well we can be very persuading. We signed everyone up including Lexi ........just in case. Once everything was settled we jumped back in the car and headed back to the house. We ordered chinease and me and all the guys from my pack and the other ended up playing video games and eating junk food all night. It helped me get my mind off her a bit but not much. Finally it was time for bed and we were all going to have to start school the next morning. 

I woke up with the sound of plates and glasses banging together I guess everyone must be up. I got up and got dressed grabbing a pair of dark washed jeans a black shirt and a red hoodie. I walk down the stairs and grabbed an orange juice and some eggs and bacon from the giant pans on the stove. Matt walked in and grabbed a plate with some food too. He gave me this look and I smiled at him reasurringly. I was going to make it through the day I am leader of this pack and I can't let them down. We all got out the door around the same time and drove to the school. It must have looked kind of funny because there were a lot of cars coming from there. Once we all got to the school we met up near the picnic tables. We decided we are all going to meet here before school everyday and then head to our regular classes. Once we were done discussing the ways everyone should be acting and what not we headed to our classes luckily me and matt had the exact same schedule. We went to our lockers and headed to class making it just before the final bell. When we walked in the class went silent and the teacher looked at us a bit sceptically.

"Class these are some new students plese treat them nicely." Then she turned to us

"please introduce yourselfs" We nodded

I started "My name is Jake huddle and I just moved here. This is my friend Jake" I nodded to Jake

"My name is Jake Monroe and I just moved here"

We took our seats in the back and we heard a few kids mumble

"Thats was vague" and "Wow insightful"

Me and matt rolled our eyes and went to what the teacher was teaching, which was something we had already learned so we ended up bored shitless. Finally the bell to ring ended and we headed for our second classes.

Finally it was lunch and we were all starving as we were walking down the hall I realized that a lot of the pack members had already made new friends and were hanging out with them. As we headed towards the lunch room we were surrounded by these jock looking guys.

"Hey new kids" One of them said

I just nodded standding my ground. the seemed to be sizing us up until finally the one who had spoken stepped up and put his hand out for me to shake.

"Name's todd. Would you guys like to eat lunch with us."

I shook his handed and nodded. 'Why the hell not'

As we headed towards the cafeteria a bunch of girls walked up to the group and joined I learned they were cheerleaders and truthfully most of them were nice and not slutty at all but one of them started feeling me up when we sat down at the table. Ashley She had dyed blonde hair brown eyes and mascara plastered on her eyelashes. She was also wearing atleast a pound of make-up if she didn't have all the make-up on I think she would have looked really pretty but all the crap on her face disgusted me and the fact that she had her hands all over me. I kept scooting away and she kept scooting closer. Ashley had this really annoying high pitch laugh that I'm pretty sre she forces, I looked up at everyone for help but the just looked at me with these amused expresion. All the sudden I felt something grip my little buddy I gasped and shoved away from her, I'm not sure why but all I could think about was Lexi and how she'd never do anything like that to me. The girl looked hurt and I felt sort of bad but I didn't want her anywhere near me I have a mate and thankfully it sure as hell wasn't her, but then again I had a little voice in the back of my head going

'yeah you had a mate but she ran away from you' my heart dropped into my stomach and I lowed my head and began eating without making any eye contact hopeing school would be over soon.

Thanks for reading once again sorry for not uploading I've had so much fricken homework thankfully school will be over in just a couple days and I'll be able to upload more often. I feel like I was kinda of just repeating myself with my story so I decided to throw somehthing else in here anyway thanks again for reading.
