Chapter 42

LEXI'S POV

Fairies how the hell did kegan even manage to find them, ecspecially fairy children. Jake was sitting on my bed and I was pacing back and forth.

"This isn't good, Jake this really isn't good"

I turned to him, I don't know why but I was somehow hoping and expecting him to make things better. He looked at me with worry written all over his face, that wasn't helping anything. I sighed

"What are we going to do?"

He looked at me in the eye and patted the bed beside him. Exhausted I sat down a put my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around me trying to comfort me and it was working. Our bond with our wolves were starting to strengthen and everytime he touched me I felt warm and safe. We sat like that in comforatable silince for a while until Jake layed down. He grabbed me around the waist and pulled me down with him, normally I'd do something but right now I wouldn't actually I don't think I could I felt so comforatable right now. Jake started running his hands through my hair which might I add was extremely relaxing. I was almost asleep when I heard Jake mutter

"Lexi, I love you" 

I sighed theres a reason I came back. When he heard me sigh I could tell he felt dissapointed. I rolled over facing him and kissed him quickly on the lips.

"Jake, I love you too"

He seemed shocked, I just chuckled a bit.

"Jake what other reason would I have for coming back?"

He just smiled the most breath taking smile I'd ever seen him do and pulled me closer to him. We fell asleep like that. Atleast one thing was able to take my mind off of those children and that was Jake....my mate.

JAKE'S POV

She said it she finally said it. 

I pulled her closer to me and smiled. She was mine, I don't care what happens in the near future or ever nothing is going  to hurt her. Not long after I felt her fall asleep her breathing becoming even and relaxed. What are we going to do about those two little fairy kids really. 

Fairies went into hiding about a century ago. They were being hunted down for their wings. Some of their wings were beautiful soft and silky they were worth. Fairies can grow their wings back but it's painful and take a couple months. after a while people started trapping them and ripping their wings off whenever they grew back. Children exspecially were most sought after. Because of their young age their wings grew back faster and faster instead of a couple months it took about two weeks. Young fairies wings grew back so fast because young fairies tended to rip and tear them easily while playing and learning to fly. 

People had started to hunt them so much fairies almost became extinct, so they had no choice but to go into hiding. They hid well too because no one has seen one since. Now all the sudden you see two fairy children being chased by a pack of werewolfs, and now they're in this house right now. 

Me and Lexi have the first fairy children seen in over a century in our house, and we have no idea what to do. 

Oh Lexi what can we do. I looked over at her and brushed her cheek softly. We've got a long road ahead of us.

Thanks for reading sorry once again for not uploading in so long. I've been getting more and more homework and i'm having awful writers block i'm thinking of starting another story just as a side project.
