Chapter 44

  LEXI'S POV

"Carla, Jasmine come with me!"

They looked shocked but followed me as I ran into Matt's room which luckily Mark was in there too.

"Guys we've got to get everyone out of here now. Help me to tell everyone to start packing we need to leave as soon as possible."

"Lexi calm down what's going on?"

     "There's no time to explain just trust me we need to get as far away from here as we can."

I turned around to sprint out the door to start telling everyone to pack. But as I got to the door Jake caught me by my shoulders.

"Lexi what is going on you've gotta let us know so we can help you as best we can."

"I swear once we're out of here I'll tell you but we need to get everyone out of here now."

He just nodded his head and left his room going door to door as fast as possible we told everyone to pack everything they can within the hour because we had to leave. Luckily no one really fought us on it. I have a feeling hat had to do with the fact that Jake was telling everyone the same things and he is the alpha. And hour later everyone was in front of the house with about a bag each of their belongings. I was carrying Andrew and Jake was carrying Lela. 

We sorted everyone into cars and me, Jake, matt, mark, the twins and the two fairys twins jumped in the car and everyone followed us. 

"Alright Lexi where are we going?"

"I don't know where we've just gotta get away from here."

"Lexi you've gotta tell us what's going through your head right now."

Alright I took a deep sigh

"Jake you know how you told me you think the Jenkins could be behind the fairy kidnapping and everything?"

"Yea what's that got to do with everyone leaving?"

"Well I think I might know why he was after the Andrew and Lela"

"Why's that" He asked a little irratated he knew I was stalling.

"Well you know how Kegan and his men were trying to get Lela and Andrew to tell him where this guy Martin was?"

"Yea...."

I turned towards Lela.

"Is Martin your guy's leader? Like how an alpha is here? He can tell you guys what to do and not to do. Sort of control you guys?"

Lela looked at me confused and suprised but nodded her head. Yea I think I'm right. I turned back to Jake.

"What if Jenkins isn't just after making werewolves into the humans slaves? What if he's trying to make all supernatural beings slaves to humans? Think about it he went after us because we can control other wolves, and now he's going after Martin because he can control other fairies."

Jake looked at me shocked as realization hit.

"Then he's going to come after us again, and he's got more men by his side. We've got to hide everyone, especially these two kids. Jenkins could use them to get to this Martin guy."

I nodded my head. "Now you know why I was in such a hurry they could have come after us at any time."

I sighed looking out the window, we still don't have anywhere to go.

"Jake where should we go?"

"I've got an idea, There's a pack in North Dakota that I've been talking to recently. They've been having trouble with hunters and have asked us to help them out. I think thats far enough away from where we are now that Jenkins will have trouble finding us. The hunters are just your average day hunters I don't think they have anything to do with Jenkins so we should all be good."

"That's a great idea Jake. Carla, Jasmine, Matt, Mark what do you guys think? Should we go there?"

They had all been in a stunned silence and hadn't said a word since I told Jake about what I'm guessing is Jenkins plan. Mark was the first to shake out of it.

"It's fine by me, that's probably the best place we could go right now. We can help a pack out while protecting our own pack."

We all nodded and unison and Jake mind linked with everyone else to tell them his plan. But a thought crossed my mind.

"Jake this pack isn't gonna turn out like the last pack we visited right? There's not going to be women hating arrogant asshole akphas are there?"

"No not them me and the alpha of this pack have been friends since childhood. He's a really good guy and his pack is nice aswell."

"Alright well here we go."

After two days straight of driving, Complaining coming from everyone including Jake and the two fairy children, Mulitple meals of fast food, and hundreds of dollars of gas down the drain we finally reached our destination. When we pulled up I was shocked, this place was completely surrounded by a wooden gate. After Jake talked to the guards and we were let in I was suprised. I looked like a duburban area. Medium sized houses, white picket fences, children running around playing and everything. This was different, good but different.  When we finally reached the main house a guy just about Jakes age walked out with a pretty women at his side.

"Alpha Jake long time no see. This is my mate Poppy."

Poppy blushed and looked away smiling. Jake looked towards me smiling mischeviously. Oh no he doesn't. I slowly started the slip away.

"Nice to see you Alpha Jeremy, this is my mate Lexi" He grabbed me by my waist and pulled me by his side. I huffed crossing my arms over my chest. He's trying to embarass me.

"Hello Alpha Jeremy" I smiled and greated and the I walked over to Poppy

"Nice to meet you too Alpha Poppy, I'm Lexi"

Something about her looked really familiar but I couldn't quite remember where I'd seen her before. 

Jake continued "This is my beta Matt and his mate Carla, and this is Mark a friend of Lexi's and his mate Jasmine."

All the sudden Poppy yelled out and jumped to Mark.

"MARK?!? MARK KENT?"

Marked looked at her confused at first then something strucked him.

"Poppy Anderson?" He hugged her earning a growl from Jasmine.

Wait Poppy Anderson? Wasn't she a memeber of my original pack?
