Chapter 17

Jake's Pov

I woke up still holding Princess wait I mean Lexi she was slightly curled and breathing evenly. I looked at my cell to see what time it is, crap we need to start getting ready for school. I shook her awak

"Lexi Lexi wake up"

I couldn't help but mentally smile at ssaying her name, her real name. She stirred and stared at me.

"What?"

She asked sounding confused, then she jumped up a bit.

"We've got school today"

She nodded at me and headed up the stairs to get dressed I walked over to my house and changed and walked back when I came back Lexi was already ready and she was cooking three different plates of food. She smiled at me when I walked in which made my heart stop for a second. She set two of the plates down on the table and the third in the microwave for Mr,Walker. She so nice, Me and her ate in silence and when we were done she set the plates down in the sink. Then we headed out of the house and to my car for school.

Once we got to school we got out of the car and Matt jasmine and carla greeted us. Carla and Jasmine dragged Lexi off to god knows where leaving me and matt alone.

"So uh Jake what happened last night?"

I looked at him rembering the horrific things Lexi had told me, poor girl.

I shook my head "Lets just say your hunch was right"

He noded knowingly and we walked to first period, I haven't seen Kegan yet but when I do I'm going to kill that son of a bitch. When we got to first period we sat down in our usualy spot but Lexi or the twins weren't there yet. oh yea

"Matt guess what Princess's real name is"

"Wait she told you?"

"Yep now guess"

"Dude I don't know just tell me"

I just laughed "Her names Lexi"

He sarted laughing "ha that suits her pretty well"

"I know right."

Just then the girls ran into the classroom and they were all laughing. I wonder what thats about

"Hey girls what were you doing?" Matt asked

They just looked at us a smiled michiviously. oh god thats not good. In walks Kegan, pissed and covered in neon paint, I knew they did something. He had three huge scars on his face from where Lexi had scratched him. He  heard them giggling and looked over at us, He glared and if looks could killed we would all be dead. He came towards us growling quietly which cause me to growled who does he think he is growling at my mate. I got up in front of Lexi to protect  her but the teacher came in, in enough time to stop anything from happening. Kegan walked by mean whispering. I'd watch her if I were you, I'm not the only one after her.

What does he mean he's not the only one after her? Why her specifically? This doesn't make sence, who is she really? Don't get me wrong I believe what she told me but I think theres something she's leaving out.

I had been zoning out thinking about what he had said and It was already time to head home. Me and Lexi got in the car and headed back to Mr.Walkers house, I was going to help her put her stuff back in her room because her paint should be dry by now. We got out of the car and headed into her house and up the stairs to her room. Ok this room looked amazing the dark looking walls mixed with the neon colors looked amazing. We dragged in the dresser then the bed and the nightstands. She went to wash her new bed clothes so that shecould put them on. I stayed in her room and put up a suprise for her. She came in about half and hour later and dropped the sheets she was carrying ran up to me.

"Where did you get these?"

I looked at her and said

"When we weren't looking I guess people took them"

I watched her walk around, there were pictures in frams in different places, There was one of us all in the pool, I was holding her and she was puting while you could she carla jasmine and matt laughing Im pretty sure Mr,Walker took that one. There was another one of her playing with the kids at the pack house and one of her me and matt eating some ice cream at lunch im pretty sure jasmine took that picture. Theres were a couple more but the one that I loved the most was a picture of me and her sitting side by side on the couch laughing and eating popcorn while you could see spongebob in the backround now I know Mr.Walker took that one.

She just kind of looked around and for the first time actually hugged me. I mean she hugged me when we were in the woods but she thought I was about to die, No this time she actually hugged me.

"Thanks Jake this means a lot"

I just smiled and nodded my head.

"Lets get the sheets on your bed"

We made her bed and threw on the pillows.

"Knock knock" we heard someone from outside the door say

We looked over and Mr.Walker was standing there with a medium sized flatscreen TV.

"Lexi thougt I should get you some means of entertainment"

She smiled and went over to help him with the box. After about an hour of trying to figure which wire goes where and what the point in the extra screw and so on we were done. Mr.Walker looked tired so he headed for bed and me and Lexi kind of just stayed in her room watching tv. I was on the fround laying on a bean bag and she was laying on the bed. If this room makes her happy I can't wait until I tell her what I have in store for her me matt and the twins next week since its spring break. I looked over and she had fallen asleep, I just laughed and picked her up and pulled the covers down so I could lay her down. Once I layed her down I covered her and I walked downstairs to grab a pillow and blanket. I went back to her room and layed down on the floor next to her bed. I haven't slept at my own house in a while but truthfully I didn't really care this was the best nights of my life. I went to sleep thinking about how next week will turn out.

LEXI'S POV

I can't believe he did this for me, no ones ever done this much for me, all these pictures even though I don't remeber them being taken reminds me that this all actually happened and this isn't just one big dream.

Sorry I uploaded so late and sorry if it was kind of boring I had a bunch of homework and had to help my grandfather find his lost hearing aid in our jungle of a backyard, Sound fun right.......not.
