chapter 43

LEXI'S POV

I woke up with somthing clamped around my waist, startled I look behind me. Oh thank the lord it's only Jake. The memories of what I said last night flashed into my mind and I blushed. Come on Lexi snap out of it don't go all mushy mushy now, you've got to figure out what to do with those two kids. I tried to get up without wake Jake up but it was nearly impossible. 

Finally I just gave up on the not trying to wake him up plan and did what any normally sane person would do. I turned over and screamed

"WAKE UP!!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!! AHHHHH FIRE!!!!!!!!"

Jake shot up like a rocket and jumped off the bed looking around confused. He looked at me for a second and then realized what happened.

"Lexi......what the hell?"

I just smiled

"You know you sleep like a rock right?"

Laughing I got up and headed to the kitchen. I accidently woke a few people up when I yelled earlier....opps.

I heard scampering feet from behind me and swirled around and those two fairy children from yesterday were clamped on each of my legs. I really need to figure out these kids names. The looked up at me with their big eyes and looked scared. I sighed and bent down to their level

"What are you two doing up so early?"

The little girl spoke up. "We couldn't sleep, We miss mommy and daddy"

Hmmm "Are you two brother and sister?"

"Yes ma'am"

"No need to be so formal what are your guy's names?"

The little boy spoke up this time "I'm Andrew and she's lela"

"Well would you two like some breakfast?"

"Yay food!"

I chuckled and walked to the kitchen with the two of them still hanging on to my pants leg. I made them some pancakes and eggs and bacon. I set the table and gave them both a glass of milk and filled plates. As soon as we sat down the two of them ate as fast as their little selves could.

"So Andrew, Lela, how longs has it been since you two have eaten?"

Lela looked up thoughtful.

"Three days.... I think"

"THREE DAYS? how long were Kegan and those men chasing you?"

Andrew spoke up this time "They've been chasing us for eight days, we ran out of food a couple days ago."

It's strange the two of them look really young, yet the speak as if they were in their early teens. I eyed them once more as they shoveled down what was left of their food.

"So if you guys don't mind my asking how old are you two?"

"I'm six!" Andrew spoke up showing me six fingers.

"I'm six too!" Lela replied "We're twins, mom says we're paternal twins"

I laughed "I think you mean fraternal"

She blushed slightly looking embarassed.

"So why were they after you two?" I sort of already knew but I wanted to confirm.

"They grabbed us when we were walking to mommy's friends house, they said they wanted to know where Martin was. There was a huge group of mean looking people behind them and we ran. They started chasing us all the way to mommy's house and the destroyed parts of the town too. When we got to the house mommy and daddy were already outside waiting for us. Mommy grabbed me and daddy grabbed Andrew. The took us to the edge of the clans property and then told us to run away. They said the bad men would come after us if we didn't hurry. She gave us some food and then took off in the opposit direction to martins hut. Daddy stayed to make sure we left and then he left too. So we left and then soon those mean bad men started chasing us. Andrew and I aren't very good with our wings yet and we couldn't fly away. They almost caught us when you two helped us. We were really really tired."

       So somehow Kegan and his band of meathead idiots found out where a clan of Fairies were hiding and attacked. What is he up to? I though Kegan was a werewolf hunter I didn't know he went after fairies too. Somethings wrong here.

"Why don't I draw you two a bath and you guys get cleaned up. I'll set some clothes outside of the bathroom door for you."

They reluctently nodded their heads and followed me to my room. I already had everything they needed in there so I thought it would be easier. When they finally got in I went to one of the parents in the pack that I knew had a young boy and girl.

"Mrs.Dawson could I possibly borrow a set of clothing for the two little kids thats we brought in yesterday?"

"Sure no problem Sweety."

She grabbed me some clothes and I walked back to my room and set the clothes outside the door. I knocked to check on them and walked back to Jake's room. I knocked on the door and he yelled.

"Come in."

I walked in he was wearing a pair of jeans but not a shirt. Not now Lexi. I sat down on his bed. 

"Jake somethings up. The kids said that Kegan and his packed attacked their clan. But there's something I don't get. Isn't Kegan a werewold hunter, and also theres No way Kegan and his men are smart enough to find a Fairie village that's been in hiding for hundreds of years. They're all a bunch of buffed up idiots. What the hell is going on."

I sighed in defeat what is going on. This doesn't make since. Did someone hire Kegan and his men to raid the fairie clan, but Kegan is rich he doesn't need any money or anything. So what's in it for him

"Lexi there's something I've gotta tell you."

"Yea?"

"Well kegan mentioned something to me when we all got into that little dispute."

I huffed will he stop trying to beat around the bush. 

"Jake just spit it out."

"Well you know how Kegan said something about you making a long list of enemies right?"

"....Yea?"

"What if they just so lovely enough joined together and are planning something?"

Shit that's definetly a possibility but what could they be planning. And who's the ring leader.

"Jake who do you think the ring leader is?"

"Well.....I have my suspicions"

"Who would that be?"

"Do you remember our friend Mr.Jenkins I think he may behind it he's the only one smart enough, I just don't know what he's after"

Fuck. I've got a pretty good idea, and it's nowhere near good.

      "Jake we all need to leave. NOW!"

I ran out of the room and towards The twins and Matt and Mark, they've gotta help us get everyone out of here. If I'm right everyone of us are in danger, including Andrew and Lela.

Well I finally figured out where to go with this story after re-reading it. I've gotta say I have made some god awful typos. Spelling errors and everything bleh it's disturbing how many I've made anyway I just glad I finally finished Thank you so much for reading this. I'm hoping to keep writing more chapters soon. I'm just glad I finally know where to go with this story. If you have any ideas please just let me know or anything you want to say. I'm sorry I haven't added to this story in so long. I doubt anyone is reading this anymore but Thank you t anyone who's reading this now.
