Madelyn’s POV

The entire morning I was thinking about Justin and his new costar. I could barely focus on the kids. Luckily, I got a huge distraction that afternoon as my phone started ringing.

“Maddie, I think I’m in labor.” I could hear Paige freaking out on the other end.

“Okay. Where’s Noah?”

“In San Francisco. He’s teaching a lecture there tomorrow. We were supposed to have three more weeks.” She sounded stressed, rightly so.

“Call him. Tell him to come home. I’ll be there as soon as I can, but I have to find someone to watch the kids. Are you there by yourself?”

“No. Pattie stopped to bring me lunch.” Thank the lord for Pattie, I thought to myself. She was constantly saving the day.

“Great. Have her take you to the hospital. I’ll be there as soon as I can.”

I knew exactly who I was going to call by the time I got off the phone.

“Fredo, can you come over? As soon as possible? Paige is having her baby and Noah is gone.”

“I’ll be there in five minutes.”

By the time Fredo got there, I had everything written out.

“I don’t know how long this will take, so I have a chicken in the crockpot for dinner. There’s veggies in the fridge to go with it. They all need to be in bed by eight-thirty or nine. Aria likes to have a book read to her, but if you don’t feel like it just tell her to go to bed. Stella knows how to do everything with her pump and blood sugar, but just call me if you have questions with that.”

“Maddie,” He stopped me mid-thought. “I am capable of handling all four of them. Don’t worry about us. Go to the hospital.” He laughed at how stressed out I was. I hadn’t ever left Fredo with all of them for this long, so it made me a little nervous. “Give Paige my love!” He yelled as I ran out the door.

Justin’s POV

“I cannot tell you how excited I am to do this movie now. I was kind of afraid you were going to be some big jerk since you’ve been in the business for so long.” Nicole laughed as we left the set for the day. We had been hanging out since lunch and we had really hit it off. She wasn’t all looks, and I really enjoyed talking to her.

“Yeah! It will definitely be fun!” I agreed.

“So where are you staying?”

“The Mayfair.”

“Me too! You must be the one that reserved the penthouse suite?” She giggled.

“Guilty.” I chuckled. “Do you want to ride back with us?” I pointed to the car I had reserved for the duration of my stay when she started to walk towards the taxis.

“Sure!” She gladly hopped in the car. We rode back, enjoying light chit chat. And surprisingly, nothing else happened. She went to her room and I went to mine. And that was it.

Madelyn’s POV

By the time I got to the hospital, Paige was already checked in and in a room.

“Hey little sister! How are you?” I popped into the room and realized that she was not in good spirits about it.

“I’ve never been worse.” She moaned. She was almost crying. Pattie just shrugged.

“Oh stop.” I sighed, sitting down beside her. “You’re having a baby! You love babies! Remember how good you were with all of mine? Now you get one of your own!”
