Justin’s POV
“Justin! You have to stop yelling at Carter!” Logan woke me up before the crack of dawn. I had gotten home from the hospital after two in the morning, so it had been a very short night.
“Lo, really?” I pulled the pillow over my eyes.
“I love him, Justin. But he refuses to come over here ever again! He’s scared shitless of you!”
“Good!” I yelled, annoyed with her. “You shouldn’t be having sex in my house anyways!”
“We’re going to San Diego for the night. I’ll be back tomorrow.” I was glad she was leaving for a second, until I realized I needed a babysitter.
“Logan!” I yelled, getting out of bed and running after her. “You can’t leave. I have to go to the hospital!”
“Figure it out. You know other people who babysit.” She slammed the front door loudly.
“Daddy!” I heard Aria yell. I groaned, wanting to kill Logan. I didn’t know how to handle teenagers. I couldn’t imagine what would happen we had four teenagers in the house.
“Will you cuddle with me?” Aria asked weakly as I walked into her room. I jumped at the chance. Since Madelyn’s attack, Aria had been requesting only Madelyn to tuck her in at night. I knew why, and I understood it, but I was happy to have some cuddle time with her today. She wasn’t a baby anymore, and it wasn’t going to be long before she was all grown up and didn’t want anything to do with Madelyn or I.
Madelyn’s POV
Aniston had a surprisingly good night. She only woke up one time in pain, and the story of my appendix seemed to distract her enough to get her back to sleep. By the time she woke up in the morning, she looked like she felt better.
“How long do we have to stay here?” Was the first question out of her mouth.
“At least until tomorrow.” The doctors hadn’t said a thing about sending her home, but it was normally two days in the hospital after an appendectomy.
“How long do I get to be out of school?”
“A couple days. We’ll see what the doctors say and how you’re feeling in a couple of days.”
“How long before I can dance? We have the Christmas recital coming up next weekend.”
“You’re out of luck, sweets. You’ll be out for at least a week.”
“Mom! I can’t miss a whole week of dance.”
“You burst that incision open and you’ll be out way longer than a week. We’re going to have some good movie days on the couch until you can dance.” I could just see her doing a front arial and ripping out all of her stitches. She wasn’t afraid to push herself, just like I wasn’t. The difference was that I wasn’t going to let her.
“Just like you did after your surgery?” She smiled. I loved that even though she was ten, she still wanted to be like me. I could see those days were numbered, but for right now it was a good thing.
“Just like I did.” I was just glad she was little enough that she didn’t have a boyfriend wanting to take care of her yet, knowing Justin would love to lay on the couch with her all week long. We both jumped at any chance we had to baby them, since they were growing up so fast. I again felt a desire to have another baby. I hadn’t even told Justin yet, but my desire was only getting stronger.
Justin’s POV
Aria and I fell back to sleep until ten, when I decided to go check on Aniston and Madelyn. Out of luck with Logan, and knowing my mom was out of town, I called Alfredo. I knew he had been loving the time he was spending with them, and I really didn’t have anyone else to call.
