Their holiday was cut short because Matt wanted to be back in Manila by evening. He found out that a certain local celebrity made a dinner reservation at his restaurant. He was quite ecstatic about it. Everyone in the car had a cheerful disposition till they reached Tagaytay.

“If I win the lottery I’ll buy my own helicopter” was their landlady’s wishful thinking.

“If I win the lottery I want to have my own Hotel” Matt said aloud. Clearly, they were amusing themselves with the what-ifs because their vehicle hasn’t budged an inch for minutes.

“Why is it so traffic?” Tala complained.

“It’s a long weekend” Jake reminded her. They were seated at the back. Matt was driving the car and River was riding shotgun.

“Tala, if you win the lottery what’s the first thing that you will do?” their landlady quizzed her.

“I’ll haul my ass to Zurich” she quickly answered.

“Are you planning to keep your winnings in one of the banks over there?” River joked.

“Buy me a Swiss knife or something fancy like a watch” Matt joked.

“Once I go there I wont come back anymore” Tala looked at Matt.

“Why? Are you planning to settle there?” Jake curiously asked.

“No, I’m planning to avail the service of Dignitas Clinic” she explained.

“Are you having a rhinoplasty or a boob job?” River joked.

“Actually it's an Accompanied Suicide Clinic. Do you want to be one of the two people who will be with me while I make an exit in this ecosphere?” she answered.

“Sure” River answered thinking that her friend was kidding.

“Cool. I’m trying to raise four to seven thousand euros for that” she looked at their landlady. River couldn’t respond for a moment realizing her friend was dead serious.

“Tala..” all that Jake could utter was her name.

“Actually their slogan’s quite catchy: To live with dignity, to die with dignity” she continued.

“Tala you’re not funny anymore” River told her.

“Hey you’re the one who asked me what I’ll do if I won the lottery. I just answered your question” she reminded her as she opened the window.

“Is something bothering you?” Jake looked at her.

“Honestly I’m not sure if my depression is causing my migraine or my migraine is making me more miserable” she frankly told them.

“Are you in a lot of pain right now?” he asked.

“Let’s just say that this discomfort makes me want to split my skull open” she answered.

“Matt can you unlock the trunk?” Jake asked as he stepped out of the car.

“The cold pack is in the smallest cooler” Matt answered as he unlocked the trunk from his seat.
