“Thanks” Tala gave her bestfriend a hug. They just had lunch with her grandparents and it went well.
“Told you I’ll solve your problem” he cockily answered.
“By the way my lola was shocked when I told her you were gay” she remembered her grandmother’s reaction and it was priceless.
“Why did you tell her that?” he gave her a look that she couldn’t decipher
“Are you mad?” she asked pretty confused.
“No” he answered as he walked ahead of her.
“Jake, you already came out of the closet years ago. Why do you want me to keep it a hush-hush?” she tried to keep up with his pace. “Jake” she said as she pulled his arm.
“What?” he asked stone cold.
“I cannot read your mind, okay?” she looked at him.
“You didn’t do anything wrong, okay?” he looked back at her.
“Then why are you so upset?” she asked pretty confused.
“Geez Tala, can’t you just drop it?” he glared.
“I'll just see you at home. Bye” she said as she walked away.
“Tala” he tailed her like a dog. “Where are you going?” he asked. His mood and tone shifted quickly.
“Away from you” she answered as she continued to walk she started tinkering with her phone.
“Do you want to watch a movie?” he asked.
“Lolo can you give me a lift? Jake has an emergency at his office” Tala said over the phone. “Okay I’m on my way there” she said as she hang up.
“Tala I took the day off so we can hang out” Jake sighed.
“I’m not crazy to hang out with you when you’re in some kind of a weird funk. Sort whatever shit you’re in and I’ll see you later” she said as she left him.
“Where’s Jake?” Tala asked their landlady who was busy organizing her make up kit.
“Did you guys have a fight?” River asked.
“Honestly I’m not sure what exactly happened. He was in a bad mood this afternoon” she replied.
“Well he said he’s spending the night over at George’s condo” River gave her a look.
“That’s odd. Jake doesn’t like spending the night there” was her reply.
“Tala just apologize to him” their landlady told her.
“I didn’t do anything!”
