It was Sunday. Tala, Matt and River were having lunch when Jake arrived. He was holding a boquet of red roses.

“You’ve been ignoring him for a week already” their landlady broke the silence.

“So?” Tala asked as she continued to eat. Jake handed her the flowers. She shoved it back to him. She looked at Matt, “Can you tell your cousin to stop giving me flowers?”.

“Jake, my dear cousin” Matt started his speech. “Tala is requesting you to stop giving her roses” he chuckled.

“I find the gesture romantic” was River’s comment.

“Romantic gesture my ass” Tala scowled.

“Tala…” there was frustration in Jake’s voice.

“Tell your cousin that nobody is forcing him to give me flowers” she looked at Matt.

“How long is this pass the massage thing going to last? It’s getting really old” Matt complained.

“Did you have lunch already?” River asked Jake.

        “I’m not hungry” he answered.

“Don’t tell me you’re on a diet?” she rolled her eyes on him.

“I lost my appetite already” Tala dropped her utensils on her plate. She was about to get up but their landlady pulled her down.

“Aren’t you tired of being mad at him? It’s very unhealthy” she gave her a stern look.

“Well lying is unhealthy too, right?” she asked back.

“I’m sure Jake has a good reason why he told everyone he’s gay” their landlady said then she looked at Jake, “Right?”.

“Oh I think I know the reason” Matt had a sudden epiphany.

“Is Manang listening to her favorite radio drama or am I having another psychosis?” Tala asked out of the blue. They all went silent. She was having another auditory hallucination.

“Your doctor’s appointment was moved tomorrow” Jake remembered.

“Matt can you drive me?” Tala asked. River gave Matt a look.

“Sorry I’m busy at the restaurant tomorrow” was his reply. He knew what River was asking him to do.

“River?” Tala looked at their landlady.

“I’m doing a trial make up for a bride, sorry” she apologized.

“Tala, I can drive you. I already fixed my schedule” Jake told her.

“Bus it is” Tala ignored what Jake told her.

“You said it yourself you’re having a hard time commuting to places because of your migraine” he reminded her.

“I’ll call my lolo or my lola”

“Mallory stop being so stubborn” River started her sermon.
