“Good morning” Matt greeted Jake and Tala as they entered in the kitchen.
“It’s already three o’clock in the afternoon” Manang said aloud as she continued to wash the dishes.
“Tala’s blooming” Matt beamed.
“What do you want Matthew?” she scowled. She was in a mood because she was in pain.
“Is she okay?” Matt looked at Jake.
“Of course I’m not okay. I feel like my skull is splitting into two” she growled.
“Do you want me to massage your back and your head?” Jake asked.
“That’s what you’ve been doing since we woke up. I’m sure you’re hands are tired already” she sighed.
“You’re mother bought food from your favorite restaurant. Do you want me to heat it up?” Manang asked as she wiped her hands with a towel.
“I’m going back to my room. I just lost my appetite” she said as she turned around.
“Sweetie, you have to eat” Jake gently stopped her.
“Sweetie?” Matt chuckled. “How original”.
“What do you call River then?” Tala asked as she walked towards the small table then took her seat.
“What do you mean?” Matt innocently asked. Jake laughed. “What?” he asked pretty annoyed.
“Something happened between you and our land lady” she said in a low voice. “Do you want me repeat it? Perhaps more audible so Manang can hear me?” she triumphantly grinned. Matt became silent which made his cousin laugh.
“Did she tell you?” he asked uncomfortably.
“When you guys came back from the buying trip I know you had coitus” she laughed.
“Tala stop saying coitus like Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory” Jake laughed back.
“So is it status complicated or were you friendzoned?” Tala teased.
“Well we never really talked about it” he said in a low voice.
“Don’t tell me you’re both pretending nothing happened?” Jake looked at his cousin.
“I’m not sure” Matt answered.
“What kind of an answer is that?” Tala wanted to smack him on his forehead.
“Well we haven’t had a single fight since then” he pointed out.
“True” Tala and Jake said in unison.
