Truth be told, Tala did not want to die anymore. Was it a change of heart? When she went through the list of the symptoms for terminally ill patients it was enough to devastate the depths of her soul. To be in pain everyday made her miserable but the things she read was unfathomable. As days passed she became obsessed with the idea that she would go to a foreign country to have an assisted suicide. She was so vocal about it that it was upsetting the people around her. Her medical records magically disappeared.

“Did you hide it?” Tala accused her fiancé.

“I wish I knew the person who did it so I can thank him or her properly” was Jake’s honest reply.

“I have the right to chose the way I will die” she told him.

“Tala can you hear yourself?” Jake calmly asked.

“Do you know what’s going to happen to me days before I die? Do you want me to suffer those things?” she asked. Jake was speechless. How can you respond to that? “Is it River or Matt?” she asked.

“I don’t know who hid your files. Maybe it’s at your parents house” Jake replied.

            “It’s not there” she answered.

“Sweetie don’t you want to rest?” he asked.

            “No” she answered.

“Do you want to eat anything?” he asked.

“No” she answered but then she changed her mind, “I want twister fries”.

“That’s not healthy for you” he replied.

“But you just asked me if I wanted to eat something!” she was so frustrated. They started her on a healthy diet and it was making her nuts.

“I can make you baked potatoes” he looked at her.

            “With bacon” she negotiated.

            “I’ll check with your nutritionist”

“I have a what? A nutritionist? Dying people should eat all the things they like because we’re going to die anyway!” she was furious.

            “Tala, calm down” Jake sighed.
