*Two months later*
Life is insane. Especially when you're dating an international superstar and you're pretty famous yourself. I'm starting to get annoyed by the life of the famous. I love it, but it's just so inconvenient. Tyler, on the other hand, is loving it. He gets to be my +1 for all my events while Niall is touring. I am so glad their tour is pretty much over. The last show was last night and now they're just doing some stuff to wrap up. Then they're all off for like three months.
Today, however, I can't worry myself with thoughts of Niall. I am preparing myself to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. You know you've really made it when you get invited to perform here. I'm going after the Red Hot Chili Peppers, so that's going to be a tough act to follow, but I'm confident in my performing abilities.
I just wish Niall could see this. He said he would try and watch me on TV, but it's like 3 in the morning where he is, so I sure hope he isn't awake. This tour has really taken its toll on him. He's lost a lot of sleep and a bit of weight, and I just want him to be healthy.
I'm pacing around my dressing room, freaking out, when the guys from Red Hot Chili Peppers come and wish me luck before they go on stage. Great. This means that I'll be on stage in like 30 minutes. I'm terrified. I'm going to be singing Black Horse and the Cherry Tree, along with a few originals that will be on my new album that's coming out in about a month. I hope people like those songs.
I pace around the room until it's my turn to go on. My makeup lady gives me a couple last minute touch-ups, and then I'm walking onto the stage. The people go crazy, and it kind of throws me off because I didn't really expect that reaction. I sing through my song set, and I'm amazed at the crowd's reactions. I honestly never thought that people liked me this much, but these thousands of people seem to love me, and I love it.
When I'm done, I say goodbye and quickly walk offstage. I want to run, but my heels make it kind of hard. When I get backstage, everyone congratulates me, and I get really caught up in the moment. There are drinks passed around, and I'm ashamed to say that I get a little tipsy. I hang out backstage and spend the rest of the game socializing or being anti-social on my phone.
I leave the stadium a few minutes before the game is over so I can avoid the awful traffic. Joseph, my new security guy, radios for our car, and by the time we're out of the place, our car is all ready to go. Joseph opens my door for me and then gets in the driver's seat. It's kind of nice having a sort of chauffeur when I go places.
Joseph drives me back to the hotel I'm staying at and drops me off so he can take care of the car. I go up to my room and change out of my performance outfit and into something a little more practical. Then I text Joseph and tell him I'm going to check out the street the hotel is on. He tells me it's fine, but since there are more people in town than usual, he's going to follow me at a distance to make sure I don't get mobbed.
I exit the hotel and walk about a block down the street. There are a ton of people out and I'm glad that I know Joseph is keeping an eye on me. I check out a couple shops and get some clothes and accessories, and I end up hanging out for a while in the second shop because there are so freaking many people on the street.
After that I stop in a coffee shop and get myself an Italian soda and a cinnamon roll. Then I stop at the newsstand just a few yards from the entrance to my hotel. I grab one of the big gossip magazines and pay for it before going back into the hotel.
When I'm safely back in my hotel room, Joseph texts me and tells me I should probably stay inside for the rest of the evening. I gladly oblige. There were too many people out there for me. I had to stop for a lot of pictures and it was just too crazy for me to be comfortable with it.
I'm kind of exhausted from today, so I change into sweats and a tank top and fall onto the bed. I set my alarm to go off in an hour and a half, and then I am out cold.
When my alarm goes off I almost chuck my phone at a wall because I just really don't want to get up. But I have to get up because I'm going out to dinner with some people in like 40 minutes, and I need to make myself presentable. I put on a simple dinner dress and then fix my makeup and my hair. There's so much hairspray in my hair from earlier that I barely have to do anything to it, even after taking a nap.
Dinner ends up being really fun, even though I don't know the people I'm with very well. They're all people from the Super Bowl committee or something like that, so I only met them a couple days ago. I refrain from consuming any alcohol this time because I don't want to be out of it when Niall calls me tonight.
When I'm back at the hotel, I change into pajamas and then grab the magazine I bought earlier. I've only read a couple pages when my phone goes off. It's sitting on top of my suitcase, so I get up and cross the room to get it. I set the magazine on my suitcase and then go back to my bed. I answer Niall's call and we spend almost an hour talking. I tell Niall about the Super Bowl and he tells me about all the wrap-up stuff they're doing. He surprises me by telling me that he's flying into New York and coming to the hotel tomorrow afternoon. This is so exciting!
After Niall and I say our goodbyes, I toss my phone to the end of my bed and curl up under the blankets. I fall asleep with the happy thought of finally having Niall asleep next to me tomorrow night. I've missed him so freaking much.
The next morning when I wake up, I check the clock and see that Niall's flight is supposed to be here in four hours. Good, I have time to prepare myself. I walk over to my suitcase and grab an outfit for today, promising myself I'll pick up the magazine that's still on the floor when I get out of the shower.
After I'm all ready for the day, I throw my clothes in my suitcase and lean down to grab the magazine. What I see on the page it fell open to turns my blood ice cold. It's pictures of Niall. But he's not alone. He's with another girl. They're kissing, and it looks like they're at some club or something. I look at the date the magazine came out. It was only published yesterday, so that means this is super recent. How could he do this to me? There's not even any way this is photoshopped; it's too real.
Niall cheated on me. That's something I never imagined would happen. I understand that we don't see each other a lot because Niall's been touring, but he would never do something like this. I feel a tear fall down my cheek as I choke back a sob, stumbling backwards until I hit the bed. In a blur of tears, I text Joseph and tell him to have the car ready in 20 minutes.
I grab all of my stuff that's laying around the room and shove it all into my suitcase. I put all my stuff by the door to the room and then sit down on one of the couches. I rip out the page of the magazine with the pictures and set in on the table in the middle of the living room area.
Then I take off my ring.

OOOOOOOOOOO CLIFFHANGER!
Do you think Elissa reacted too harshly?
Also, I've started a new story called Cheater Cheater. It's not a One Direction fanfic, but it's a fun idea I got from an assignment at school. If you like complicated (but not cheesy) love triangles, this is the story for you. If you could check it out, that would be absolutely wonderful! :)
Vote, comment, and spread the word! :)
