chapter nine

Does it get any worse???

'lawerent? ' Dora whispered.
He laughed, 'come on don't tell me you haven't missed my voice '.
Dora froze, she took the phone out of her ears and looked at the screen.
'it's me sweetheart, get used to it. Now did you really think I couldn't find you, come on its me. ' lawerent laughed again.
'what... What do you want?, how did you get my number? ' she was stammering.
Lawerent sighed, ' what I want?, why I'm I calling you?... All those stupid questions '.
Dora sat down trying to steady her breathing, lawerent had found her, he was coming for her.

'listen to me dear love, you can run sure, but you can't hide. There is no place you could go that I wouldn't find you. You are mine ', he laughed ending the call.

Lawerent relaxed smiling, he had her just were he wanted. The fear in her voice made him chuckle, she was such a stupid woman, ever so naive and irritating , he knew she would surely try to keep him away and probably be cautious of how she goes out. It would be difficult trying to get her alone, but he would try, it was his only chance to destroy her for good. He needed plans and he needed them fast.

Dora waited patiently for Jaden to come home, she was pacing round the room. There was no need trying to hide, from the years she had known lawerent he had never given up on what he wants.. He did not give up when he wanted her, and he won't start now.
She jumped up when Jaden entered the room.
'Jaden he called me. He has my number....... He knows where I am, I know him he won't stop.. He... ' ,she kept talking non stop.
Jaden grabbed her shoulders stopping  her from talking ,' calm down baby, who wants you. Calm down and talk to me. '
Dora stared at him, his eyes held so much confidence, she relaxed and closed her eyes.
'lawerent called me, I don't know how he got my contact ,but he called me...... He said some awful things to me. He said he would find me. ' she sobbed.
Jaden stood clenching his fist, this lawerent of a guy was beginning to get on his nerves. He looked at Dora, she was crying, fear written all over her face. He hated seeing her this way, no one was allowed to hurt her. No one.

'what are we going to do now? He will.. Oh God.. Jaden he would take chimamanda away from me. ' she stood up pacing the room again.
Jaden came up behind her and hugged her,' do you think I will let anything happen to you and our daughter?, I'll have to die for that to happen. He can't touch you. I promise you. ' Jaden turned her to face him, cuddling her face in his hands, he smiled to her.
'I will protect you, even with my last breath. I promise. ', he kissed her.
Dora relaxed into his arms, she believed in every word he said. She was confident that lawerent can't come near her.

'I have to make a call, I'll be back '. Jaden kissed her again before leaving the room. Jaden knew what he should do, he was going to make lawerent regret ever knowing Dora.
'hello, Jaden? '
'hello Samuel. ' Jaden sighed.
'is something wrong? ' Samuel asked.
'I need you to find someone for me. Lawerent martins, I need you to find him soon. Can you do that for me? ' Jaden rubbed his neck.
'okay but are you alright?, you sound so worried '.
'it's Dora Samuel.. I have never seen her this way before, she is so scared. I'm confused. '
'what is wrong, Jaden I don't understand any of this ' Samuel pressed.
'lawerent is... Lawerent is the guy who raped her, he is back and here in NSukka. She is loosing it Samuel. We have to find him '. Jaden was getting Impatient by the minute.

'calm down bro. We will find him, I promise. Tell Dora I'm sorry. ' he hung up.
Jaden knew he could count on Samuel, he had been like an older brother to him since he was little. If there was anyone who could find lawerent, it would be Samuel. He went back into the room and found Dora by the window.

'you need to stop worrying, you could put our child in danger ,and also hurt yourself. '
Dora turned to face him, her eyes were swollen from all the crying. She looked so stressed out and weak.
'I'm sorry ' she sniffed.
Jaden sat close to her, 'there is nothing to be sorry for. This is not your fault so please don't blame yourself for it. Lawerent can't harm you, I need you to believe that, okay? ' .
She nodded her head and rested on his shoulder.
'I'm glad you are here with me. You don't know how safe you make me feel. ' she closed her eyes .

Jaden relaxed into her warmth, she would never understand how special she was to him, the thought of someone hurting her drive him mad. He looked down at her fragile frame and vowed again to protect her.

Lawerent stood behind the red car packed just a few meters away from where Dora's car was parked. He waited patiently for her to come out of the store, his body itching to get close to her.
Her little frame came out of the store making lawerent smile, he made to approach her but stopped. A man was walking behind her with his palm on the small of her waist.
So now she had her husband as a bodyguard?,  stupid Dora.
He sighed retreating back into the shadows, he would have to get her alone, he had a feeling it would be difficult but he would try, he was just to close to give up now.
Dora kept looking back as they walked to the car. She had this weird feeling that she was been watched. Jaden squeezed her arm a little and smiled.
'it's OK. You are safe '.
She nodded her head still turning back, something didn't just feel right she was feeling too uneasy.

Lawerent watched them leave, anger boiling inside of him. He punched the car in front of him making the alarm go off, people turned to stare at him. He grunted and walked away.
This was frustrating enough, the way he held her hands comfortable, it made him want to vomit.

He would get her one of these days, he was sure of it.

Oh my god.. Guys I'm so sorry I haven't updated in weeks!!..
I have been so sick, (it was scary).. I hope you understand and forgive me.. I'm really sorry.
This is a very short chapter I know that and I'll make sure to make up for it.
