chapter twenty two

Lawerent:

I stood outside the building with the address scribbled on my palm.
My feet stick to the pavement, was I really ready to do this? Was I ready to beg Jaden to let me see her?
I turned to leave but Nathan's words echoed in my head.

That's the only way lawerent, try begging for their forgiveness and maybe you can see her once a month. You have to do this man.

I take the first step inside and moved towards the elevator..my arms felt numb beside me.
I can do this...for my cupcake ..i can do anything.
A lady on red say outside the door
'Can I help you sir?' She smiled
'Umm..yes please I would like to see Mr Jaden. I was told this was his office' .i cough.
'Okay do you have an appointment with him?'
' sadly no I dont, you can tell him it's lawerent. '
This is wired.
She looked at me for a while before standing up, ' okay I'll be right back' and disappeared into the room.
I stood outside the door, my palms glistened from sweat. What was I going to say to him? How pathetic of me. I turned to walk away before the door opened.
' You can go in' the red haired came out .
' Thank you' I forced a smile before walking in. I could still feel her eyes on me. She must think I'm crazy, who wouldn't?.

Jaden sat behind his desk with a scowl on his face.
' The only reason I agreed to seeing you was because I didn't want to embarrass you here. What do you want lawerent '

'Can I sit down at least please, i don't want to fight'.
'Good because clearly you will loose. Sit'.
Here goes nothing.
'Look Jaden trust me I didn't want to be here either but I had to see you.'
He relaxed.
' I know what I did was wrong, trust me that wasn't what was intended. I love her Jaden, Amanda..i have grown attached to her. '
' And? '
' when I first found out about the child I was furious with you and Dora but then I met her and I understood why you had hidden her from me.she is so pure and innocent to have a man like me in her life'.

His expression was something else.
' I tried to tell her who I was but I couldn't.. I couldn't knowing she should hate me . It was so hard watching her that day at the court room..the pain and betrayal in her eyes. It broke me.'

Jaden sighed ,' why are you telling me this lawerent'.
I looked up for the first time since I entered the office .
' I want to beg for her forgiveness Jaden please , I need to see her again'.
He got up laughing, ' isn't that too late to ask for. You shattered the little girl! '
' I know that ..thats why I'm here begging you. I can't ask Dora for this. Please'
'I can't believe you, she has been crying since that day.' He was in front of me now.
' You know what she asked me this morning? She asked me if she was a mistake. I was beyond broken'.
' I'm so sorry '
I was really sorry.
' you have to leave now lawerent'.
' please Jaden you are a father like me, and you should understand me better'.
He backed me,' you should have thought of this first before trying to ruin my family. Please leave now'.

That's It? I was done for . This was my last option and I lost it too.

' I'll leave but I hope you consider my request, please.' I get up to leave.
' this is beyond me lawerent, there isn't any chance of you meeting her..even in secret. Dora would not be happy.' Jaden sighed.

I open the door giving him a weak smile,' I know. Thank you'.
I leave.

I leave behind everything I once cherished, there is without doubt nothing left for me here...in this wicked world.
It was true I had brought this upon myself but still the punishment was far to much for me to bare.

This is probably the shortest chapter in this book...lol..
Well there it goes..

I do ...a little though..
Let's see where fate takes him and if he would ever be able to love again or get his cupcake's trust back.

So someone said Dora is being too emotional and cruel towards the whole thing..
