Chapter Five
*three days later*
Abigail was finally started to regain her strength and she was finally up and around. It has been six days in Riverdale and they were ordered to return to camp after one week. They needed to do something in order to find the heir of Zeus quickly. It was now becoming vital that they find him because the weather in Riverdale was getting to be below freezing even though it was only September still. Abigail was in the living room doing some exercises to help her get more feeling in her back and to get her strong enough to put up a fight again.
"Abi can we talk please" Veronica said coming in the room sounding serious
"Of course, what's going on?"
"I think you should return to camp" she said quickly putting her hand over Abigail's mouth and then saying. "Before you say anything please just let me explain why" she said letting go of Abigail's mouth hoping she would sit there without saying anything so she could finish. "Anyways, we only have one day left to find the son of Zeus and it doesn't look like we are much closer. I'm already in trouble with both Chiron and my mother for leaving camp while being suspended from missions. So i've decided that it would be best if I went off the grid in order to find the son of Zeus and safely bring him back to camp"
"Are you done now?" Abigail asked needing reassurance
Veronica nodded her head.
"Good, because that's the dumbest idea I think I've ever heard in my life. We are partners Veronica and best friends. If you go off the grid I am going with you. I almost died for this mission already; I don't plan on going back to camp until it's completed and I have the decapitated head of the creature that tried to kill me"
"I just don't want you in anymore danger"
"We've been in danger since the moment we were born. We were born to goddesses of Greek Mythology. People tell our parents stories in museums and classrooms, because they believe it all to be fake. Trust me if we're gonna do this thing then we need each other"
Before Veronica was able to say anything else Abigail just grabbed her and pulled her into a huge hug. They sat on the couch with their arms wrapped around one another until they knew it was time to go off of the grid. All of their weapons have trackers in them. They needed to go through every weapon in order for the camp to declare the two of them as M.I.A and not send the camps soldiers to try and find them. It was Veronica, Abigail, and kind of Cheryl alone now figuring all of this out.
*three hours later*
"I know where we can start" Veronica stated
"Where?"
"Cheryl said that the girl Betty Cooper is the daughter of Artemis. And I believe her considering she was able to know exactly who our mothers were"
