Chapter Twenty-One
After a while of dancing together Jughead and Veronica were enjoying being together. It wasn't a usual occurrence for them to spend time together without someone interrupting them, or coming back from the dead, or a younger brother that he didn't know about. Nothing about their relationship was normal.
But then again neither were they.
"I love you Veronica" Jughead said as he leaned in a kissed her
When they pulled back Veronica said "I love you too, Forsythe" and giggled as she leaned back in to kiss him
Suddenly the two of them were pulled apart by the feeling of someone coming between them. They let go of one another's bodies as they saw Chiron standing there now in between the two of them. Both of them were extremely confused. Veronica fiercely raised her eyebrow at Chiron; while Jughead just stood there with confusion on his face. Veronica was always able to be more obscure with Chiron because she's known him longer. Chiron nudged his head for Veronica to follow him as he said "Ms. Lodge we need to talk"
She followed him to the outside of where the cookout was taking place.
Chiron looked distraught and confused.
"Where is your brother? He needs to hear this conversation also"
"He's with his friends at the cookout. Chiron what's going on?"
"Veronica I need your brother here so that I can tell the both of you" Chiron said as he waited in the exact spot for a few minutes alone. Veronica came back walking along side her brother.
She had told him previously that Chiron sounded serious and that he needed to remain calm and quiet while Chiron was speaking. Noah had never had a private and important conversation with Chiron before.
"You two need to go to Olympus" Chiron blurted out making the two sibling look at one another in confusion. "Now I know that it's against camp policy, but this is incredibly urgent that you go and see your mother"
"I don't want to see that woman" Veronica exclaimed
"Veronica this is not a negotiation; unless you want your little boyfriend to die"
"What the hell are you talking about?" Veronica said as she held onto her brother's shoulders so that Chiron didn't raise his voice to him at all. "What does my mother and Olympus have to do with Jughead in any way. I don't understand"
"According to our intel Cheryl, daughter of Hera has collected evidence that your mother has been the one trying to control the prophecy. Not Hades!!"
Veronica looked down at her brother as he looked up at her also. He was in between her arms and his head went directly upwards to look at her.
