Chapter Eleven
*five days later*
"Good. Keep that right elbow up! Don't lose your focus!!" Veronica shouted as she was helping Jughead while he was sparring with another camper
"Veronica I got this" Jughead said as he was able to defeat his sparring partner instantly
Veronica ran up to Jughead after he helped up his partner and she gave him a high five and a large hug. She was so happy with all of his fighting progress in such a short time being at camp. There was so much more that he needed to learn in order to save Mount Olympus, but Chiron has been keeping the rage of Hades under control by putting extra protection around the camp.
"So you're looking really good out there, but how are you feeling though?" Veronica asked as they were walking with their hands interlocked away from the battlefield
"I feel great honestly. I feel like there's nothing I can't do when I'm fighting, because I just keep thinking about how I can become a hero and a warrior"
Veronica then stopped walking and she looked up at Jughead. She was looking deep into his big eyes and smiled as she said "I know you can be a hero"
The two of them were leaning in closer together. They were about to kiss when all of a sudden the Veronica was pulled away by an extreme force.
That force was Abigail.
"Take Jughead to his cabin! We have a huge issue at the entrance of camp" she exclaimed as she grabbed the two of them and started running towards the camps main gate
"What's going on?"
As they got to the entrance of camp there was a small hole in the barrier. It was turning the barrier less invisible and they were able to hear the rustling of the trees in the outside world. The outside of the hole was shimmering in blue. It wasn't growing at all, but it was too dangerous to take chances so everyone stayed away from the barrier.
"Chiron what happened to the barrier?" Veronica asked still holding Jughead's hand
"Looks to be like some sort of breach that is bringing the barrier slowly down" Chiron said not wanting to touch the barrier in case it would fall down more
"I thought Thalia's lifestream was what keeps the barrier up around the camp" Abigail said
"Seems like we might finally be losing Thalia. We need to think of a plan fast before she officially dies" Chiron said galloping away from the barrier and back to his office
Veronica ran after him. She followed him into his office and Abigail ran in behind her also. Jughead then followed in behind Abigail to try and calm Veronica down because she seemed furious at the moment.
"You can't just let Thalia die!" Veronica exclaimed "Do you know what exactly has happened to Thalia?"
"Ms. Lodge Thalia has been technically dead since she was a child. There was nothing any of us could've done"
