Chapter Four
"So you getting on or what?" Jughead asked handing her a helmet
"Your joking right. I doubt you even know how to ride" Veronica snarled
"Only one way to find out. Plus if I make it Pop's in one piece you owe me a milkshake"
Veronica giggled slightly as she took the helmet from Jughead and got on the motorcycle. It was until she began to hear the sound of the revved engine that she gripped her arms tightly around his waist.

At Pop's diner the two were sharing a booth in a basically empty diner. This made Veronica more comfortable. She got herself and Jughead a milkshake considering she had lost the bet with him. She ordered a strawberry milkshake for him and a double chocolate for herself.
"Tell me about yourself" Jughead said eating the fresh strawberry from the top of the cup
"There's nothing much to tell" she quickly said
"Everyone's got something to tell so just tell me anything and we'll see how it goes" he persuaded
"Alright, well my name is Veronica Lodge. I'm seventeen years old. And i've only ever lived in one place"
"Now as boring as that description was see it wasn't too hard to tell me about yourself"
Veronica just kept sipping on her milkshake after that because she couldn't tell Jughead anything about who she really was. It would be too dangerous for him. Especially if he wasn't a demigod and he was a mortal. Nothing is worse than receiving news that isn't actually true. Veronica knew that it was better to just kept her brain full of secrets away from Jughead.
"Tell me about you now" she said slightly biting down on her straw
"Jughead Jones. Also seventeen years old. I have a younger sister and I live alone, because my parents left me"
"What about your sister?"
"My mom took her to live in a different state because she couldn't stand living in a trailer and the fact that Jellybean and I had no adult supervision"
"Well where's your dad?"
"No idea, apparently he took off before I was even born. Jellybean and I have different fathers, but the same mother"
Veronica was absolutely stunned. She was listening to Jughead talk about the terribly hard life that he has lived on his own first the past few years before his mother left. She eagerly listened to him because it made him smile every time that he looked up and saw her looking down at him talking. It was almost as if he was finally being listened to and that he finally had someone to talk to. It was nearly three hours later and Jughead and Veronica were still talking to one another in the diner.
