He leaned against the wall, trying to calm himself and his wolf down. Sterling, his wolf, was panicking.

"We need to find him." Sterling howled.

Torian sighed, "The closer I get, he pushes me farther away Sterling. I've just made his life hell, I don't know if I should go after him."

"What if he's in danger?" Sterling said.

"He might be, but if he's not, I might make the situation worse." Torian argued with Sterling.

Deciding to listen to Sterling, he took off his clothes, changing into his wolf form.

He sprinted out of the manor and followed Jonah's trail of scent into the forest behind his house, with his clothes in his mouth.

His throat clenched when he saw a small pool of blood. As he bent down and sniffed the blood with his snout, the evidence was clear.

Jonah's scent masked the blood. He growled in anger, knowing that someone caused his mate harm, especially to the point of bleeding.

After that, his emotions went wild, he was livid, barreling after Jonah's kidnapper. As his paws slammed against the hard dirt, he felt adrenaline rush through him.

He's never felt so angry before, both him and Sterling.

The thought of Jonah being in danger made his blood boil.

As it had only been a few days he spent with Jonah, he found himself falling, falling hard for Jonah Campbell.

And Torian Grae didn't fall in love.

As werewolves couldn't physically shed tears, he found his negative emotions turning darker.

He finally reached the bottom of the mountain, where a group of large rocks were precariously and unaturally placed.

Torian morphed into his human form, putting his clothes on, which was a hoodie, t-shirt, and some jeans.

He walked towards the rocks, tossing them to the side as if they were pebbles. Finally the rocks altogether collapsed, revealing a entrance to a cave.

The cave gave off Jonah's sent, and as he walked in, the further he went, the stronger Jonah's scent was.

"Damn it, I should've came sooner." Torian growled. "I should always be by your side, your other half, but sometimes, it seems like you don't want me to be there."

"I think I'm falling in love, and I don't know if I'm ready for that, or even want to." Torian whispered, clenching his fists.

He continued to walk down the pitch black cave, one of the abilities of the werewolf was to see in the dark, so this didn't bother him.

Leaving him alone and in the dark could be a dangerous thing, as the mind can be incredibly powerful.

He only had his thoughts to entertain him, and he hated that.

He kept going back to that one moment where he saw Jonah collapse to the ground screaming after Jonah saw his mother's remains.

Seeing Jonah so shaken up worried Torian. That was already traumatizing enough, now his mate was kidnapped, and could be very likely being tortured right now.

"Stop talking like that, we'll save him." Sterling said confidently.

"I hope so, I don't know how much he can handle, I don't know if I could even handle what he's going through right now."

"I just can't turn this around, and I wish I could change things, I want that so badly, just to change the past for him." Torian said sadly.

The stench of rotting flesh hung in the air.

Finally reaching the opening to a larger room in the cave, he felt Jonah's presence, but it seemed different than before.

He saw Jonah looming over his kidnapper, breathing heavily.

"Jonah?" He called out, walking hesitantly towards him.

Jonah whipped around, as he hadn't heard Torian's footsteps.

That's when Torian gasped, Jonah's eyes were glazed over with gold, rather than his usual milk chocolate orbs.

Jonah's shirt was off, showing his body, which looked a little different as he now had the body of a comic book character.

"What the hell?" Torian muttered, stepping back.

Jonah's eyes widened as he recognized Torian, turning back the their normal color of brown.

"Torian?" Jonah asked, before running towards him.

"Yeah, I decided to come after you to see if you were in danger." Torian stated. "But it looks like you didn't need my help."

He looked over at the passed out man to see who the kidnapper was.

As he walked closer, he felt like he was going to pass out.

Jonah looked over at Torian, "Are you okay?"

"No I'm not, your kidnapper is my uncle." Torian said, shocked.
