"Because it's too dangerous for you to stay here, you may have to come over to my house." Torian said, pleased with the idea.

"What about my dad?" He asked, almost forgetting about his father.

"He can come too. We need to wait til he gets home and then you guys will need to go pack your things." Torian nodded. "I'm sure you don't want to go back to school, do you want to stay here? Or go somewhere else?"

He thought back to the body upstairs, he shivered, feeling a cold feeling consume him.

"I'd like to go somewhere else. But shouldn't we call the police?" Jonah asked.

Torian nodded, "Yeah we should, otherwise this will look fishy."

Jonah pulled out his phone and walked into the kitchen talking to the police.

Torian decided to take this moment to gather information on why the Corrupted would kill Rachel. Walking upstairs, he checked the place where she was killed and looked closer at the walls to see paw prints smeared with blood.

Looking on the bed there were a few black hairs adding to evidence it was the Corrupted. But, something wasn't adding up. The Corrupted usually strike innocent victims when they're outside, they would never go to the extent of killing one in their bedroom of their own home.

This lead to other questions, who was out for Jonah? Why were they? Did they want to threaten Torian or did they have other reasons?

Torian was concerned for nothing but his mate, he wanted Jonah to feel comforted, to no longer feel broken.

That was going to take time, as the mental wounds like that of what Jonah has experienced, needed immediate care.

Torian quickly went back downstairs, to remember to talk with his father. Asking Steve also, to see if he had any new information.

"I called the police, they're on their way." Jonah said, looking up at Torian.

Torian was breathless, Jonah looked stunning. Even if he had been crying, he still looked beautiful.

"Uh, good, let's go then." Torian gawked, still in awe at Jonah.

"Okay, where?" Jonah asked, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"I was thinking my house, so I could change, if that's okay." Torian said, giving Jonah a lopsided smile.

"Sounds good, let's go." Jonah said. Walking out of the house.

"Okay, so I don't know much about you, tell me more about yourself." Torian said.

"Well, I'm an only child. I like video games, my best friend is Logan, and I really like baked goods. I love nature, I like hiking, I'm a fan of reading books, and I find true joy in showers." Jonah breathed deeply, being long winded after saying that.

"Well, I'm the oldest of six brothers, I'm really into music, I enjoy walks through the park, I love exploring, I like guacamole and chips, and I like you." Torian said calmly.

Jonah felt himself blush, he wasn't used to Torian's compliments. It made him feel, wanted, and he was slowly falling. Slowly.

"Thanks." Jonah said awkwardly.

They decided to take Torian's car, since Jonah's car was already at his house.

"So you have six brothers?" Jonah asked, looking over at Torian.

Torian ran a hand through his dark hair, "Yeah I do, do there's me, then Titus, Taylor, Tobias, Timothy and Trey. Tim and Trey are twins."

"Wow, that's a lot of brothers. And all your names start with the letter T." Jonah speculated.

"Yeah my parents thought it would be funny, since their names are Tracy and Thomas." Torian shrugged.

"That's kinda cool honestly." Jonah said, trying to recall all of Torian's siblings names.

As Jonah looked out his window, his jaw dropped when he saw the mansion that stood before him.

White marble pillars held the house and were delicately etched with carvings of wolves. Roses that were blood red lined the house, with windows looking out onto the breathtaking garden. Fountains stood on each side of the house. A huge forest was the 'backyard' to the gigantic building.

"Don't worry, you'll be safe here."
