Jonah gulped. Gently setting the small boy down, he followed his mate towards the back out of the mansion, stepping into the gardens, he turned to face Torian.

Something seemed to be off with Torian, he kept glancing at the floor and hadn't spoken for a few minutes where they were standing.

Jonah's anticipation skyrocketed, "Torian what's wrong?" He reached out and touched Torian's arm as if to say "I'm not going anywhere." Torian looked at Jonah, eyes wide. This made Jonah slightly taken aback since Torian always held himself with confidence and with a look in his eyes that held no fear, but now, that was all Jonah could see, fear.

"Your destiny, I know it, and all I can do is just sit by and watch. All I want to do is protect you, the future is so dangerous, I wish that we could just avoid it altogether. And be happy, free, and safe... together." Torian spoke, his voice was soft, his throat sounded so pained he might have been crying before, and werewolves didn't cry.

"You are the Divine Hunter, you're supposed to help us win against the Corrupted, but you need training, lots of it, and your trainer has to be me. The reason you're eyes turned gold and your body changed was during the kidnapping it triggered the power within you. I know this isn't what you wanted, I don't even want it for you, this unfair fate." Torian looked small and delicate, and he wasn't, this just made Jonah worry moreso.

Jonah felt his body move on its own accord. He embraced Torian tightly, smiling into Torian's shoulder as their bodies fit together like two puzzle pieces. "We're the master of our sails, right? So what if there's a little wind to throw us off course?" He whispered into Torian's ear, and to his amusement, Torian shivered.

"I will be by your side, I'll have your back until the very end." He said, searching his mate's beckoning blue eyes.

"And I will too! I won't run away, and be at your side always." Torian said earnestly, hugging Jonah back.

"You smell wonderful by the way," Torian mumbled as he spoke against Jonah's shoulder.

Jonah gave a soft laugh, putting his fingers through Torian's soft, thick, raven-like hair.

"One more thing," Jonah said, looking over at Torian, "promise me that you and I won't keep anything from each other. We'll always be open. No lies."

"Sounds good to me." Torian hummed, grabbing Jonah's hand as they walked back towards the house.
