Walking into school he got a call from his friend, Logan.

"You here?" Logan asked.

"Yeah." He grunted, opening his locker. "Where are you?"

"The library." Logan replied, Jonah chuckled, "I should've guessed."

He walked down the halls of his high school, with its dingy brown carpet and faded green walls, he found the school to look like an old avacado.

He and Logan have been best friends since they were six. With his calm and reserved personality and Logan's loud and proud personality, they were a great duo.

Recently Logan's been hiding out in the library because when Logan came out as gay, he had both a positive and negative reaction.

The positive reaction was from his family, the negative was from his peers.

Walking into the library he always felt like he had a pair of eyes watching him, which made him feel uncomfortable.

The library was the pride of the school, and it was obvious. Instead of the old brown carpet like in the halls, it had polished wooden floors, comfy plump chairs, and hand-carved shelves where each book carefully rested.

As he hurriedly made his way to the table his best friend sat at, the cheerleading captain Brittany slithered up to him.

"Hey Jonah, there's a bonfire tonight at Jared's house, are you going with anyone?" She asked flipping her pink hair to the side, as Jonah took her in, he saw that she had a hickey on her neck from the last guy she had fun with.

"No, and if I did, I'd probably go to hangout with Logan." He said calmly.

She frowned with her big pouty lips, "Why the hell would you go with that faggot?" She said, folding her arms to show off her cleavage.

"Because he's a good person and can keep it in his pants." He snapped, growing impatient, "Hey, you might want to check the mirror to look at that giant hickey everyone can see."

He walked away before shoulder decking her, to send her flying.

Rolling his eyes and slightly feeling bad, he walked over to smile when he saw Logan look up.

Logan had broad shoulders, tan skin, and emerald green eyes, he could have men and women swoon for him easily, and you couldn't blame them. He was a star athlete, and really liked baking.

"So what did Brattany have to say?" Logan asked, looking back down at his homework.

"She asked if I would go to the bonfire with her." Jonah said, folding his arms across his muscled chest.

"And?" Logan hummed, raising a single brow.

"I told her no. If I were to go with anyone it would be with you to hangout." He said, looking directly at him.

"Oh." Logan said quietly.

There was a moment of silence.

"So I keep having this dream, right? I'm walking through this dark forest, looking for something." He said slowly, recalling the dream.

Logan was staring at Jonah, "Go on." He said, knowing this meant a lot for Jonah to open up about it.

"And I've been looking for days, I'm low on water and starving. Finally I stop in front of this old huge oak tree. I get on both knees and I wait, almost like I'm praying, until this black wolf appears from behind the tree, it's huge and has red glowing eyes. I feel like I'm going to be ripped to shreds, and as this thing pounces I raise my hands to cover myself, when another huge silver wolf leaps in front of me. They have this huge fight, and the silver wolf won. He looked over at me and it's as if I knew the wolf or something. Then I wake up." He said, rubbing his eyes.

"Weird, but kinda cool." Logan speculated. "What do you think this means?"

"I don't have a clue, but each night the silver wolf gets closer til we're practically face to face and I..." He said, leaving his sentence unfinished.

"I don't know either, maybe it's a symbolic dream?" Logan guessed, scooching closer to Jonah to hear him better.

"That could be it. But this dream has been bothering me for the third week, and I'm starting to lose it." He said running a hand through his blonde hair.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Logan asked, clearly hurt.

"Part of me was hoping I wouldn't be having that dream when I'd tell you." He shrugged.

The bell rang for class, both got up to go to their classes.

"I am thrilled we only have one year left." Logan mumbled, standing up.

Jonah was reaching for his backpack when he felt he was being watched again, and this time he found who was staring at him, it was none other than Torian Grae.
