Chapter 43

Amie's POV

The soul started to calm down the further out we got. The place began to grow cold and dark.

"It's getting dark pretty fast," Aiden observed and I agreed.

This place was starting to look creepy as fuck and the entrance seemed to be somewhere deep and dark. The fog started to fill the lands and rain began to fall.

My heart was beginning to sink deeper in my chest because we've been walking for a while and if we didn't get out sooner we might be trapped here for good.

Katalina's POV

I was livid. Where was my daughter? Why would Lucas do such a thing?

Is that really a question? He's the fucking devil.

I kept holding onto the little good that was in him but I don't think there's any more left. I really wanted to remember everything. I felt trapped in a place where I didn't belong.

Who was I?

"There's an entrance to the underworld!" Someone said making me snap out of my thoughts. The portal had opened after the explosions. Whoever was running with my child was really messy forgetting to close what they opened unless...

"It's a fucking trap everyone gets back!!" Nixon yelled as the portal started growing wider then it started rapidly shrinking.

This was a do or lose my child situation. I was tired of getting back, tired of listening to what everyone else thought I should do. I needed to follow something that no one else here had at the moment. What's that you may ask?

Mother's intuition.

Motherly instincts.

Before the portal closed I decided that I'm going in.

As everyone ran away from it I sprinted toward it and threw my body in. I heard a few distant screams before falling into an abyss.

Nixon's POV

The portal exploded after she jumped in. I couldn't believe my fucking eyes. She walked into the trap. If it was a trap, we couldn't be sure at the moment.

Lucas was a clever sly demon vamp and he knew what he was doing from the very beginning of his premeditated plans.

The forest began to grow lighter and lighter and the rain stopped. The path opened up for us to exit and this made my heart turn.

Realization struck me.

Her soul is lost and ours would have been too if she stayed.

Lucas' target is her and it was a bad idea for her to isolate herself like that.

Fuck!

"Stop overthinking it." Allen said causing me to look at him.

"She knew this whole time what she was going to do and none of us could have stopped her, we need to leave before darkness fills up again then we will be lost for good." A lady said and she yelled for everyone to follow the path quickly.

Lucas' POV

I smiled when I saw her land in the lake. Her dress fit her perfectly. She looked just as beautiful as she did before I tainted her. Until I ruined her and stripped everything from her.

There was something about her that was different. She was colder.

Of course, she was her soul is gone forever.

She snapped her hazel eyes in my direction and I smiled in satisfaction at the sinister look she had in those orbs.

It turned me on. The level of animosity.

"Where's my fucking child?" She wasted no time expressing what she came here for and her eyes never left mine. No remorse no feeling.

She thought I hurt our child but as cold as I am I'm never going to hurt her. She can't see Leah though. Once they touch she'll be able to see the missing part that she had not seen yet.

"Stop being so hostile she's safe I wouldn't hurt her and you know that." I snapped at her stupidity.

I may have had her mother killed, her pregnancy rushed, and her soul removed but it was all for the better good.

Or the better bad since I was a devil in disguise.

"That's wasn't my fucking question asshole." She slapped me and I grabbed her by her neck. She grinned and licked her lips.

Fuck she's so sexy I might impregnate her again right here in this fucking forest.

"Don't try that shit sweetheart. Come with me and I'll show you her. You may not leave with her or touch her." I snapped letting go of her neck.

"Don't tell me what to do with our daughter." She shoved me hard and walked straight past me.

I had plans for her and wanted her in the worst way. With no soul, there's no connection to anyone in her life. She's reawakened.

She knows of people but they're just all people to her. No connection what so ever. She'll live here in the underworld, caged.

I needed to do one more thing to her to seal the fucking deal.
