Chapter 4

Katalina's POV

I heard Collin's voice and felt a warm body, he must have been holding me.

"Kat you have to open your eyes." He growled lowly.

"But I don't want to..." I groaned. he chuckled causing the vibration to rumble through me.

"Why not? I want to see your beautiful eyes." He teased making me giggle.

I opened my eyes staring into his brown orbs. Amusement danced in his eyes while he studied me. He was really attractive. I smiled at him, and it was that moment I realized that I kinda like liked Collin. I buried my face in his chest as he walked me to my room. He treated me like a princess and I appreciated him for it.

I was laying in bed reading my erotica novel curled up with Awkward showing on the flat screen tv. I felt a little better compared to earlier after my encounter with the devil. Luckily I have a knight in shining armor, I smiled at the thought of Collin.

I picked up my phone scanning it and my eyes landed on a text. I was surprised because I rarely got text messages.

Kat I hope you are ready for dinner which is in five minutes.

Oh, shoot I totally forgot. I quickly took a shower and slipped on my leggings with my black sweater. I pulled on my white fluffy socks. I tied my curly locks into a high messy bun leaving my bangs and pushing them to the side. I opened the door to come face to face with Collin.

"Ready?" He grinned at me.

"Haha very funny." I smacked his arm playfully.

He grabbed my hand interlocking our fingers grinning in my direction.

"Hey hey play nice." He said with a playful glint in his eyes. We walked together to the table. It was already packed from most of the pack members. When we walked in I felt all eyes on us and the room grew silent.

"Sorry for our lateness," Collin said bowing.

"Don't let it happen again," Lucian said curtly staring between Collin and I. Somehow his words had double meaning making me shiver slightly. Prissy had Lucian by her side but she still threw daggers at me. She couldn't stand the fact that Collin and I were close and would probably be more.

I wonder if Lucian's sorry excuse for a mate told her about us. How she would terrorize me.

Doubt it.

I agree I told my wolf.

"So what are you two waiting for? Sit and let's eat." Macy cheered lightening the mood. I snapped out of my thoughts and sent a smile her way. I began walking to a seat when I realized me and Collin's hands were still interlocked.

"Collin," I whisper yelled.

"Oh sorry." He smiled sheepishly letting go of my hand.

We took our seats, and Collin sat straight across from me. Chatter began in the room, and while that was going on I piled some food onto my plate and so did Collin. I reached for some mac and cheese and so did Collin, his fingers brushed against my arm and our eyes locked.

"I grabbed it first Kat sorry." He dished out the mac and cheese on his plate smirking at my annoyed expression.

I took the other piece and starting eating. I felt someone staring at me but I didn't even bother looking up, I knew it was HIM.
