Chapter 27

Katalina's POV

I stepped out of the shower limping, viewing his sleeping figure sent hot memories through my mind and I shook it off shivering. Now would be the perfect time to leave, if only I could walk properly for the love of Pete.

I tied my hair in a high bun and slipped on my cloak putting on the hoodie. Maybe I shouldn't leave him hanging and write him a note or something.

I stained the note with my red lipstick and left it on the nightstand. I snapped my fingers and disappeared into the morning woods.

It was pretty chilly with winter nearby. I clutched my cloak thinking of where I should go next.

Lucian. Check.
Xavier...Mhmm check.
Julian...fucking x'd off my list no questions asked.
Cayden. It's between Cayden the twins and Collin now that Julian was voided.

I rustled through the leaves deciding that I'll go visit Cayden next but first I'll have to locate him.
I opened up the portal once more but was snatched and before I let out a scream I was already knocked into darkness.

"Where the hell am I?" I groaned. My head really hurt.
When I fully came to I sat up looking around the room and then my eyes fell on the blonde-haired gentleman in the corner eyeing me.

"You...you knocked me out," I whispered.
"That I did." He said nonchalantly.

"Why?" I questioned now getting pissed.

"You were looking for me, weren't you? Well, you couldn't have found me so I came to you. Sorry for knocking you out Kit Kat." I froze at the nickname instantly doing a double-take.

"Collin?"

"Bravo. You know my name." He said playfully walking toward me.
"So. Why did you want me?" His face grew serious and I sighed.
"Here we go again," I muttered.

After I finished my explanation for the millionth time he stared at me coldly. His playful demeanor now dispersed into thin air.

"Katalina, I have a mate." He stated seriously making me flinch.

"Really?" I whispered.

"After you left I've found somebody. Turns out they are best of both worlds and all I've been craving." He said which made my blood boil. My demon was mad.

"Who is she?!" I hissed violently.

"Kat..." He dragged.

"Who. Is. She." I said with each step cornering him. I was a fucking seductress no one says no to me.
"It's a guy. I'm gay Kat." He sighed and my eyes softened.

"Aww Collin." I moved back giving him space. "I'm sorry my demon was about to snap at you for not choosing me but I completely understand.

There's no other girl there's a guy involved and I respect your feelings and who you're with just keep in contact?" I smoothly apologized slipping a paper with my info in his jacket before disappearing.

Shit.

Collin was gay. A lot happened since I left.

'Nixon distract Xavier while I go into their territory once more.'

'On it.' He replied cutting the demon link.

"Excellent." I smiled.
