Entry Sixteen
Dear Diary,
After school, I started second guessing about getting a dress.
"Maybe I shouldn't," I say out loud. "I mean, I don't even have a date."
Behati sighed. "Gwen, someone's going to ask you. They have to! You hang out with us now, so don't worry."
I look up at the tall popular. "Who? People don't give me the time of day unless I'm hanging out with you guys."
"What about Blake?" Kendall asks. "I mean, he is the one who insisted that we become friends with you."
I blush at hearing his name. "I don't know..."
"It doesn't hurt to at least look a dress," Behati cuts in. "Also, who ever said you need a date?"
I sigh. "Alright, fine!"
We walk into Anaheim's main mall. Right away, I see teenaged girls buzzing around for dresses.
"So, what store are we going to?" Cara asks.
"I was thinking Sheri Hill," Behati claims.
My eyes literally bulge out of my head. "Sheri Hill?! As in the Sheri Hill?"
Kendall gives me a weird look. "Yeah?.."
"So, Sheri Hill it is?" Behati asks. We all nod in agreement. "Come on, then."
We walk side-by-side in the mall. I feel so...popular and wanted for once. We strut into Sheri Hill, which only the richest of the rich saunter into.
"Ah, Behati!" a worker comes up to us. He kisses her on the cheek. "How are you darling?"
"Rob!" Behati smiles. "I'm wonderful, how are you?"
"Absolutely fabulous! Shopping for the winter formal?"
"Yes," Behati answers. "We only shop at the best."
"Kendall and Cara!" the man directs his attention to the two. "Looking stunning as always!"
The girls giggle. "Thank you, Rob."
He then looks at me. "And, who is this?"
"This is Gwen," Behati introduces me. "This is her first time buying from Sheri Hill."
Rob looks at me. "You are so beautiful! Why haven't you shopped here sooner?"
"She struggles financially," Cara blurts out, causing me to look down in shame.
"Oh, sweetie," Rob hugs me. "With a face like yours, you could work for Revlon and make thousands!"
I blush. "Thanks."
"Anyway," Kendall begins. "What's in style right now, Rob?"
Rob brightens up. He leads us to a rack of dresses in the front. You must try on these fresh designs. Of course, stick to blues and whites. It is winter, after all!"
"Thank you, Rob," Behati smiles.
"No problem, girls!" Rob squeaks. "Call me if you need anything!"
The man walks off, leaving us alone. "Remember, try to stick to blues and whites. It is winter, but this isn't a Christmas event." Behati says.
"Is there a price limit?" I ask.
Behati laughs. "Why would there be?"
I ended up picking a light blue dress that hugged onto my body. It isn't really my style, but the girls insisted that I got this dress. I really don't mind, they probably have better judgment than I do when it comes to this stuff.
I just hope Blake likes it. That is, if he even asks me to the dance!
Until next time,
Gx
Sorry I haven't been updating. Things are getting tough, but I'm hanging in there!
