"Gwen," I hear his country accent say behind me. I turn around and see his blue eyes painted in sadness. The usual light in his eyes is replaced with nothing but regret.

I was dancing with Helen and Christina. I was having a good time. Well, until now.

"Yes?" I sigh.

"I just wanted to say that you look absolutely beautiful tonight," Blake looks down.

I want to blush and melt at his comment. But, I feel Helen's jab on my back. "Thanks." I simply say before turning around.

"Blake!" I hear another country accent (why does this school have so many people with country accents?) squeal. Unlike Blake's, this one was very annoying and whiney. "What are you doing with this skank?"

Helen, Christine and I all turn around to see Miranda scowling at me. I feel my fist tightening along with my jaw. I've never even talked to this girl before. What the hell does she think she is?

Not on my watch, sweetie.

"What the fuck did you just call her?" Christine snaps.

"A skank," Miranda rolls her eyes. "Though, standing next to you, she doesn't look like one."

Christine gasps, and Helen has to hold her back from attacking Miranda.

"Miranda," Blake sighs. "Come on, let's just go."

"No," Miranda spits. "I want to know why you were over here in the first place."

"You don't own me," Blake defends himself. "I can go wherever I want to."

"Wow," Miranda rolls her eyes. "You could've at least chosen someone better to cheat with."

"He's not a cheater," I glare at the country girl. "We aren't together. And last time I checked, you two weren't together, either."

Miranda chuckles. "Well, look here! We got ourselves an Albert Einstein, y'all! Except, not really. If Blake and I weren't dating, then why am I the one dancing with him tonight?"

"Because you're a rebound," I scoff. "He's just around you because he can't get into my pants again."

"Sweetie," Miranda says dramatically. "You wish you were the one sleeping with him."

I smirk. "Actually, I don't have to wish. We did sleep together, and it was so-fucking-good."

I can feel everyone staring at us now, even the music has stopped. Miranda let's out a gasp. "No, you didn't. Stop being a liar, you whore."

"Oh, but we did!" I walk closer to her. "In many different ways, too-"

Miranda cuts me off by slapping me in the face.

"You're going down," I growl before pouncing on her. The crowd begins to chant 'fight, fight, fight' as Miranda and I throw hands.

"Gwen!" Blake tries to hold me back.

"Let go," I demand.

Miranda is able to slap me on the cheek, but I'm able to swing at her check with my fist before Blake drags me away.

"What the hell?" I scream at him. He carries me out of the gym and into the hallway. "I was about to drag her!"

"What the hell is the matter with you?" Blake scolds. "Are you trying to get suspended."

I gruff. "I was trying to show her a piece of my mind."

"Gwen," Blake sighs. "She ain't worth it."

"Neither am I," I mutter. "Apparently, I'm not worthy enough to you."

"What do you mean?" Blake exclaims. "Why would you even think that?"

"You replaced me pretty quick," I state.

"After you told me no," Blake accuses. "I thought you didn't want to come with me to the dance, so I asked someone else."

"You should've known I wanted to go to the dance with you!" I yell.

"How?" Blake yells back.

"I-I don't know," I groan. "Okay? I don't know. I wanted to go to the dance with you, but then all these memories of my dumbass ex flooded in my brain and it scared me. It scared me, Blake. I'm scared of someone breaking my heart again."

"Gwen," his tone softens. "I hoped you knew I wasn't a douche bag like him. I like you, Gwen. I really do."

I gulp. "I'm sorry. I overreacted like a goal bitch."

"It's alright," Blake smiles. "At least I know you can throw a punch now."

I laugh. "Yeah, well. Anaheim ain't so pretty all the time."

He playfully rolls his eyes at my comment. "I'm being serious, though. I like you, Gwen."

"I like you too, Blake," I blush.

"So..." Blake trails off. "What do we do now?"

I grab his hand. "I think we should go get some froyo and watch 'The End Of The F***king World'."

And that's exactly what we did.

Until next time,
Gx.
