Livin' In Paradise (A Magcon Fanfic)

Chapter 7

Caitlin's POV

Wednesday after school I go to Shawn's house. I knock on the door and wait. Aaliyah opens it.

"Hey Aaliyah!" I say.

"Hi," she smiles. Aaliyah is so nice and outgoing. Whenever she's at our house I can hear her and my sister laughing the whole time.

"Is Shawn here?" I ask.

"Ya he's in his room. Come in," she invites me in. I take off my shoes and make my way to Shawn's room. I find him laying on his bed on his phone.

"Oh, hey Caitlin," he looks up then goes back to his phone. I plop down on my stomach beside him on his bed. I watch him on his phone. He's scrolling through twitter. He suddenly gets a FaceTime from Matt Espinosa.

"SHAWNNNNNNN!!!!" He screams so loud I have to cover my ears, afraid my eardrums are gonna burst.

"You get used to it," Shawn whispers.

"What was that?" Matt asks.

"Nothing," we both laugh.

"Who are you with?" He asks, obviously hearing my laugh.

Shawn turns his phone to me so I'm now on screen. "Matt this is my friend Caitlin."

"Hi!" He screams and waves at the camera. I always thought he looked kinda loud on his vines. That was an understatement, he IS loud and hyper. Like a kid that had too much sugar.

"Hi," I reply. He shoves a piece of candy in his mouth. Ya thats a good idea, eat more sugar!

I turn the phone back to Shawn. "Man, I'm so excited for the New York Magcon," Matt says calmly. He smiles at the camera. Matt has this smile that lights up the room whenever he smiles.

"Ya me too. Caitlin is coming too," Shawn mentions.

"Really? Well you'll love it!" He exclaims. "I would love to meet you."

"You too," I say calmly. Of course I really want to meet Matt Espinosa. Inside I'm screaming. I can't even believe I'm FaceTiming him right now. It's taking everything in me to stay calm. I guess you could say I'm a fangirl when it comes to Magcon.

"So who's all gonna be in New York?" Shawn asks.

"All 12 of us I think," Matt answers. "Oh and Brent. Did you know Brent has a girlfriend?"

"Seriously?" Shawn exclaims surprised. Even I'm surprised. It's not anything against Brent, I mean he is really cute and funny. I'm just surprised because he can't get a girl in alot of his vines. I think all the guys give him a hard time about it.

"Ya her name is Kat. I think she's coming to New York Magcon. And Nash is bringing one of his friends, I think her name is Kaylor. I don't know, Jack G told me."

It annoys me sometimes, Jack and Jack having the same name. You never know who anyones talking about. Are they talking about Jack Johnson or Jack Gilinsky? It's confusing.

We talk to Matt for a long time. I'm really quiet, so is Shawn, but I think Matt made up most of the talking. After we finally finish talking to Matt, me and Shawn just talk and hang out for a bit.

"So do you still sing?" Shawn asks me. I've taken years of voice lessons and have sang in music festival. Singing is my passion. I love singing. What kind of a question is that? I have and always will love music and singing, no doubt. Since I was like 8 it's always been my dream to be a singer.

"Ya, of course!" I answer.

"You know, I've never really heard you sing before," he thinks surprised. "I bet your really good!"

"Not really," I admit. I think my voice is ok, but nothing special.

"Ya right. I'm gonna make you sing one day!" He says confidently.

"You do that," I laugh. Then my phone lights up with a text message. It's my mom. "I have to go for supper. Bye."

"See ya."
