Chapter 17

Caitlin's POV

Sunday morning Kaylor and I wake up early to go shopping. Cameron comes and invites us for breakfast, but we say we'll catch up later.

"Are you coming shopping with us?" Kaylor asks Mahogany.

"Aww I wish," she mutters. "But I can't. I have to set up for the show today. Bring me something back!"

"We will," we both say.

"Aww I love having other girls on tour with me. I hate being the only girl!" She exclaims. We all laugh.

Kaylor and I get ready then wait outside for a taxi. When one finally arrives we get in and make our way to where all the shopping is.

When we get there we pay the cab driver and start our shopping. I can't believe I'm shopping in New York. This is a dream come true! On either side of the street are tall buildings and lots of shops.

We only have a couple hours to shop. I wish we had longer, but its better than nothing. I could shop forever, and I'm sure Kaylor could too.

We go into Forever 21 first. We spend most of our time in there. Forever 21 is one of my favourite stores, another thing Kaylor and I have in common.

After we go into shops like Aeropostale, H&M and lots of accessories and shoe stores. The largest Aeropostale is in New York. Shopping in New York isn't like regular shopping, it's way better. Everything is bigger. Theres still a lot of snow on the ground and covering the trees making it so pretty.

After we go in the M&M store. We buy so much stuff there its not even funny. There was probably a couple hundred colours of M&Ms!

We go into a lot of shoe stores and accessory stores. I lose count of how many pairs of shoes we each try on. We found a pair of cat ears so we bought them for Mahogany.

As we are walking Kaylor stops me. "What?" I ask confused. She just points. I look at what shes pointing at and gasp. I turn to see a huge Disney Store right next to Forever 21. We run into there excitedly.

We act like little kids in the Disney Store. We get some really weird looks from some seven year olds. What can I say? Were kids at heart! Kaylor buys something for Skylynn there.

In the end we both bought a lot! After we finish our shopping we hang out and talk in Starbucks for awhile.

As I'm sipping my vanilla bean frappuccino, Kaylor says excitedly, "So I have some excited news to tell you!"

"What?!" I ask excited.

"Jack asked me out last night!" She says.

"Are you serious?" I ask surprised. I can't believe that Kaylor and Jack are dating. They are the cutest couple ever. "I'm so happy for you!"

Later into the conversation my phone starts to ring in my purse. I grab it and see its Mahogany.

"Hello?"

"Caitlin? Its 11:30! The VIP is gonna start in an hour!! HURRY!" Mahogany yells nervously.

"Crap," I mutter under my breath. New York is a big city and a lot of traffic. Its gonna be hard to get back there in time. Theres a good chance we could be late. "Were on our way."

We get to the event with only minutes to spare. Bart comes up to us in a panic when we walk in. "Where have you guys been? I've been looking everywhere for you guys! The VIP is about to start."

"Sorry we went shopping," Kaylor explains. We both apologize and then go backstage to get ready for the VIP event.

We find Mahogany and give her the ears. "Oh my gosh! I love you guys," she yells and hugs us. You can tell shes happy to have some girls on tour with her.

Jacob comes up to Kaylor and I. "I told you," he laughs. I smile.

"You were right," I admit. "I think Shawn likes me. He hasn't talked to me since before he sang to me, I think he's avoiding me." I pause and think. "What should I do?"

"Just go and talk to him," Kaylor says. "Take a chance and tell him how you feel, he may feel the same."

"Ya I agree with Kaylor," Jacob adds.

So I decide to to talk to Shawn later. Their right. If I don't tell Shawn how I really feel, I may be passing up the chance for us to be more. It's like a quote I once read: "In the end we just regret the chances we didn't take."

Jack and Jack come backstage and yell, "VIP is starting guys, lets go!"

Jack G grabs Kaylor's hand. "Oooh!! Kaylor and Jack sitting in a tree..." Taylor starts. Jack and Kaylor both blush. We all laugh really hard and eventually Kaylor and Jack join in. I glance over and catch Shawn staring at me. All 14 of us go out, ready for Day 2 of VIP.
