Livin' In Paradise (A Magcon Fanfic)

Chapter 22

Kaylor's POV

I wake up sad, knowing it's the last day. My flight leaves at 10:30pm so I have all day to do whatever. We decide to go sight seeing, since this is everyone's first time to New York.
"Where are we going first?" I ask.
"Empire State Building." Nash replies while looking at his phone.
"Ooh I've always wanted to go there!! I want to be the one to go to the front desk though!" Everyone gives me a weird look, but agrees. Our hotel is downtown, so we just walk. It takes us a couple of minutes to get to the Empire State Building, but New York is so beautiful that nobody minds. Once we arrive, I run to the front desk.
"600th floor please." I say as calmly as I can.
"Umm..there isn't that many floors miss." The man at the front desk, who looks very confused, tells me. I laugh.
"Are you sure you want to mess with me? I pull out a pen from my purse.
"Sorry miss, but there's not 600 floors!" The man tries to tell me. He starts to look panicked.
"This is pure Celestial Bronze! You don't want to mess with that!" I start to get riled up.
"Miss, please calm down."
"Let me up to the 600th floor!" I feel strong arms pick me up. I struggle against them.
"You don't want to mess with Riptide! I'm going to tell Chiron about you!" I yell as someone carries me back to the group.
"Sorry mister, we'd like to go up to the highest floor possible please." Shawn says after I have been calmed down. Jack, who was the one that carried me away, puts his arms around me so I don't go crazy.
"I'm fine, don't worry." I tell him, but he gives me a skeptical look. The elevator opens and we all crowd in. Once at the top, we take some selfies and pics, and then leave.
"Next stop, The Statue Of Liberty!" Cameron says. We all cheer, and hop in some cabs to get there. It's too far to walk. Once at the shore, we take a boat over.

We chill at the Statue Of Liberty for a bit, taking pictures and stuff. We even go to the top. The view is incredible, and Jack and I take selfies with the New York skyline as the backdrop. He even manages to kiss me in one of the pics.
"We're just living in paradise" Jack quietly sings in my ear as we stare out at the water. I giggle and he kisses my cheek.
"Let's go lovebirds!" Nash motions for us to come. We follow him down to the boat, and then on shore the cabs, who have come back when we asked them to, at 11:00. I get in with my bae, and we drive to our next stop, Times Square. I straighten out my outfit; black leggings, my burgundy Vans sweater with a Jack and Jack shirt underneath, my black sparkly beanie, and brown combat boots.
"You look cute today." Jack says, and I give him a surprised look.
"Really? Thanks! I just threw it on, not really caring." He laughs. I almost die, cause his laugh is beautiful. Deep, but not too deep, and just...sigh....amazing.
"Well, you look good." He smiles and I return it with a kiss on his cheek.
"Here you are, that would be $27." The cabbie says as he lets us out. Jack quickly pays him. I try to contribute, but Jack stops me.
"The gentleman always pays." I laugh and look around me. We are in the middle of Times Square. I gasp. It's huge, with billboards and skyscrapers everywhere. I pull out my phone, still in awe, and take a ton of pictures. We meet up with the rest of the group and walk around for a bit. Then we head to Brooklyn bridge, and we walk on it for a bit. Around 2:30, we stop at a Mc Donald's for lunch, and then head back to the hotel.
"So what do you want to do now?" Mahogany asks.
"We could watch a movie." Caitlin suggests.
"Great idea, what should we watch?" Kat asks.
"How about the two Percy Jackson movies?" I grab them from my backpack, and all the girls nod. I put in the first one, and we sit back and relax.

If you thought that it was a good idea to watch those movies, think again. All I ended up doing was yelling at the tv, cause the movies were nothing like the books. It took half an hour after the second one to calm me down. At 5:45, Jack picked me up for our date. We ate at a fancy restaurant, and then went out for ice cream and a stroll through Central Park. It was amazing, every second of it.
