"Would you consider dating me again?"

Jackson Wang wants to date me again, even though last time we dated was just to get back at me?

I guess it's my turn.

"I don't know, Jackson. Last time we dated-"
"I know what happened last time, Mark. But you never heard me out-"
"Tell me now."
"What?"
"Why did you do it? Tell me everything, I deserve to know."
"Mark-"
"Tell me or I'm kicking you out."
"You will think it's stupid-"
"Jackson-"
"Fine."

"It was a bet. You know that. It wasn't supposed to be anything like that, I was just angry at you for something that happened so long ago. And then Jinyoung suggested I get revenge at a sleepover one day, then Jaebum chimed in and made a bet that I wouldn't even want revenge. Jinyoung heard 'bet' and all of a sudden I was caught up in is whole 'get revenge by playing him' and 'I bet you won't keep him from moving back to America',"
"I didn't think it was a bad idea, I could get my revenge and it would be fine. I could play you and hurt you because at that time I hated you Mark, I hated you so much."
"Then I got to know you, and I got to remember why I fell in love with you in the first place. I remembered us. Little Markson and I regret everything I did. It wasn't a bet anymore, I fell for you. I really loved you, so much. I remembered how close we were and why we were friends in the first place. And then Jinyoung would ask how the bet was going and I couldn't tell him I loved you because I knew he would tell you straight away. So I played it off like I still hated you, played it off like I didn't feel anything for you. But I was so in love. I loved the way you held my hand, I loved the way you smiled at me, I loved the way you made me feel happy. I didn't want Jinyoung to tell you that day, I wanted to stay with you forever. I wanted to be with you Mark. And then you said you knew about the bet and my heart dropped. It made me think you were playing me too and I felt sick. I wondered how long you knew, and I realised you knew for a long time. For all that time you were playing me too, and all those times you said you loved me-"

"When you left Korea I thought I could get over you, but every time I walked outside I saw your house. I'd see your Dad around and I died a little inside. I missed you more than ever, so when Jinyoung told me he got a scholarship over here I told him I'd come. I didn't know you went here. I had no idea, actually... all I knew was that we were closer and that was all I needed."

"Jackson I-"

"You don't have to forgive me, or even date me again. But I want you to know I have feelings for you and this time I'm being genuine. If you don't like me, fine, just tell me. But I need an answer."

"Why?"

"Because I'm not the only one with feelings, Mark."

"What do you mean?"

"Jinyoung has feelings too," was all Jackson said before getting up and leaving me in painful silence.

And that's when it hit me.

Jinyoung has feelings for Jackson.

And Jackson knows.

If I don't confess to Jackson, Jinyoung will.
-----------------
"Mark! It's ya boy Changkyun!" said a voice from across the football field, on the other side of the campus.
"Changkyun! Go away!" I joked, yelling back to the boy a few metres away from me, who was next to Wonho and Kihyun.
"What about me Mark?!" Wonho called.
"No you're disgusting!"
"What about meeee?"
"Of course you can Kihyun, I love you so much!"
"Yah!" Yelled Changkyun and Wonho in unison.
"Markeu! I love you too Oppa !"
"Okay I don't love you anymore, please leave."
"I'm sorry I take it back."
"Good. Oh! By the way! I have some friends coming over from Korea, you guys need to come with me to see them."
"Which friends?"
"Taehyung, Hoseok and Jungkook."
"Another Hoseok, hmm? I bet he's better than our Hoseok," Changkyun commented.
"As long as he hasn't poured chocolate milk over his naked body, he'll be one hundred times better," Kihyun added.
"It was a mistake!" Wonho defended, "Either way, I'm glad they're coming and we finally get to meet the legends that made your Korean life better."
"I'm so excited, I miss them heaps."
"So did we, when you left," Kihyun said.
"Yeah but that's different-"
"We love you so much Mark! We loved you first! We love you more! We always have! We missed you so much, okay?!" Wonho yelled, almost bursting my eardrum.
"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry," I laughed.
"You should be," Changkyun grunted, as we all walked along the football field.
"Why are we walking anyway?" Kihyun asked.
"I need time to think."
"About?"
"My feelings."
"On?"
"Jackson."
"Yuck."
"Yum," Wonho smirked.
"Will you just shut your mouth I hate you so much," Changkyun whined.
"He wants to date me again."
"What are you going to do?" Kihyun asked me.
"I don't know."
"Don't do it," Changkyun said.
"Why?" I asked Changkyun.
"You'll just end up getting hurt, as always."
"I think I'm going to do it. If I don't get him, Jinyoung will."
"In that case, Jackson all the way." Chankyun grumbled.
"What's so bad about Jinyoung?" Kihyun asked Changkyun.
"He can't be trusted, there's so much about him that screams 'snake'," Changkyun explained.
"I don't know, I'm thinking I should let it be, maybe it isn't worth getting hurt."

It wasn't.

"Who says your going to get hurt?" Wonho said, " You don't have to date him for revenge, Mark. If you love him, date him like you mean it. Don't play him. If there's anything I hate, I hate players. You either love someone with your full heart or you don't."
"I love him, I think I do. But I can't stop thinking about what he did to me, and I'm scared he's going to do it again."

I don't love him. Just pretend. Pretend like he did.

"He wouldn't, if he's asked you again, it's because he likes you."
"I guess you're right."
"So, are you going to date him?"
"Yeah, why not? It's not like I'm going to do any damage."

I was very wrong.

-------------

"How was your day today?" Jinyoung asked as we ate our dinner of noodles at the kitchen counter.
"It was pretty good, I'm sad it's Sunday though. I have a class early tomorrow morning so I'm not keen for that. What about you?"
"I have a paper due Tuesday so I'm going to use tomorrow to work on it, and by work on it, I mean start. My day has been alright, I went to see a movie with Jackson, then I called my Mum to see how she is... nothing too special."
"I saw my Mum yesterday, it was nice. I miss her. Oh, I did find out Taehyung, Hoseok and Jungkook are coming over from Korea to visit."
"That's great! I'm so happy for you, Mark."
"Thanks, have you heard much from your friends?"
"Not really. I know Yugyeom and Bambam have moved to a different town, but we're all organising a Skype call to catch up on things. It's funny how as soon as you dont see someone everyday, your feelings grow... but after a while they fade away."
"You're right. I miss BTS and everything, but now that I'm so focussed on school and other things, I don't have time to talk to them. Hopefully when I finish I can talk to them more often, but I have other things to worry about."

Just after I finished my noodles, Jinyoung piped up.
"What are you doing this weekend?"
"Nothing? Why?"
"Want to get drunk with me? I get my results for my paper on Saturday and I want to be drunk when my professor e-mails me."
"Of course!"

I don't want to get drunk, I just want to get some information out of Jinyoung.

Information about Jackson.

And we all know Jinyoung can't lie when he's drunk.
