"I'm ready for a road trip," Jinyoung beamed.
Our trip to South Korea was getting closer and closer, and every single one of us were beyond excitement.
But the first trip was closer to home.
"I've got snacks," Jackson added, climbing into the drivers seat, myself seated in the front passenger.
Jinyoung got the whole back seat to himself.
"I've got good music," I contributed, and they both burst out laughing.
"You only listen to Fall Out Boy, Mark." Jackson scoffed, turning the engine on and finally starting our much anticipated road trip.
"It's not just Fall Out Boy," I defended.
"Don't forget about that disco band," Jinyoung joked.
"I don't want to start a fight... but I'm going to anyway," I snapped. "Post Malone isn't even that good."
"You're crazy," Jackson fought, but the arguement was settled as soon as Jackson told Jinyoung to pass around the Hot Cheetos. For the rest of the duration of the car trip, Fall Out Boy were only mentioned another three times, the last time Jackson threatened to stop the car and throw me out.
I only stopped arguing because I had to.
For survival.
"I'm excited to see your mother again," Jinyoung blurted out of nowhere.
"When did you meet her?" I asked him, and he laughed.
"Remember that time you fell when we were playing basketball and broke your arm? I saw her in the hospital."
"Oh. Right." Embarrassment crashed into me like a wave.To make things worse, Jackson started laughing too.
"I remember that, and you were in so much shock, you didn't even cry that much. You sat there for a while and said, 'I think I broke my arm. How cool is that?'" Jackson added.
Luckily we were just around the corner from my old house.
"It was a long time ago, alright?" I defended.
"What? Seven months ago?" Jackson asked, Jinyoung's laughing stopped immediately.
"You two have nearly dated for a whole year!" He burst, a bright smile on his face. "I forgot!"
"We're going to South Korea for our one year, idiot. Why else would we go back?" Jackson scoffed, pulling into the driveway.
"For a holiday." Jinyoung replied, climbing out as soon as Jackson stopped the car.I climbed out as soon as I could, and rushed over to my mother who had just opened the front door.
I wrapped my arms around her and before she could say anything I asked, "How are you? I missed you."
"I'm fine, I've been busy with cleaning. Speaking of which, I need you all straight away."
"Sure thing, but quick question. How did you know we were here?"
"Jinyoung sent me a text." she answered, I glared at Jinyoung, waiting for a response.
"You might be her child but I'm the favourite," Jinyoung teased.
"That's incorrect... I'm the favourite," Jackson fought, walking towards me with Jinyoung beside him.
"So, what are we doing now?" Jinyoung asked my mother, and she smiled.
"For now, just move a couple of boxes downstairs, and then you can rest."
"Sounds like a plan to me," Jinyoung clapped his hands together and followed my mother inside. As the two made it inside, Jackson pulled me into an embrace.
His arms snakes around my torso and my arms mirrored his, only finding themselves closer to his shoulders.
