JAMES WAS CURRENTLY HAVING second thoughts about even showing up here. Here as in Natalia's work. He knew he shouldn't even be trying to talk to her, even after she had told him that she wasn't planning to get back with him ever. But James was a very, very stubborn boy and he knew it, and so did she. He would do anything to fix things between them. What was the worst that could happen? He asked himself as he stepped out of his car. She could ignore me and act like she didn't even know me, again.
James- no matter what would happen- entered the hospital that she had worked at since she came to the beautiful Spanish capital. As soon as he stepped foot into the building, nurses and patients turned their attention to him. Some stared and others looked away not caring or not having a clue of who he even was.
But the ones who had stopped and stared at him, immediately recognized him as the James Rodriguez. The Colombian footballer who played for Real Madrid. Everyone practically knew him because he was a footballer. The people of Spain would have to be living under a rock or just not care about football to not know about him. Football was very big in Spain, having some of the best football clubs of Europe come from Spain, it was strange to not know about these teams or not like the beautiful game.
"Can you help me please? I'm looking for a doctor who works here. Uh, Ms. Álvarez, Natalia Álvarez," James asked a woman sitting at the front desk- around her mid thirties. She wasn't the same elder, but sweet nurse from two years ago, that he would see every time he came to visit Natalia at her work- who loved him because she was also Colombian.
"Yes, of course Mr. Rodriguez," she answered instantly. "Ms. Álvarez is on her lunch break currently, would you like to talk to her or something?"
"Yes, I would like to talk to her, if it's possible."

Natalia's eyes widened as she saw James waking over to her. She quick got up and began to walk away from the table she was eating at to throw away her trash.
"Natalia!" James said, somewhat loudly hoping to not get everyone's attention. But many of the annoying and noise nurses were already staring at them. She didn't even bother to turn around and see him. To see his face, his cute face pleading for her to listen to whatever he had to say.
James had already done enough to her, he had broke her heart. She told herself she felt nothing for him anymore, but that was a lie. Those feeling could never go away. Natalia didn't like that he made her feelings for him return in an instant. She felt somewhat of a hatred for him because of that, but she could never really hate James. No one could ever really hate the sweet Colombian boy.
She didn't want to talk to him nor even know about him. Natalia wanted to distance herself from him because, if she did fall in love with him again, she didn't want her heart to be broken by the same guy again. Natalia didn't false hope of them being together forever again. After she was left heartbroken, it became hard for her to fall in love with any guy because, no one could ever compare to James. No one could compare to her shy and sweet James.
"Natalia, please-"
"What? What the hell do you want," she asked harshly but much quietly.
"I want to talk, about what happened that night, I want to talk about everything."
"Two years later, and you still think you can explain or fix what happened. There's a reason why it's in the past, and it should be left that way," she told him. Natalia was bitter towards him because, he thought that he could come back into her life thinking that everything would still be fine.
"I understand you don't want to see me, and you hate me. But all I want is a chance to talk about things. I'm not asking for you to love me again or to get back together with me because, you said that it would never happen. But all I want is to change this, to make things right."
Without James she would hurt more, she wanted to be with him again, she wanted everything to be the same again. But she didn't want to be with him and have the possibility of him hurting her again, she told herself she wouldn't fall in love with him ever again. But the truth was that she never did stop loving him, she just choose to think she did.
