I JUST THOUGHT EVERYTHING-❞ Natalia paused. "I don't know. I just thought it was all going so well and it turns out that he was seeing someone else during the time I thought we were 'together' Rapha," she sighed.

It hurt Rapha to see his best friend so hurt over a guy- even if 'the guy' was one his teammates and close friends, it didn't mean he still didn't want to hurt James for hurting Natalia.

"Lia, maybe he didn't mean it," Raphaël hinted. "Sometimes we don't mean to say things, it just happens sometimes."

Natalia shook her head, "I- I just assumed we were more than just friends. But I was wrong," she sighed, but she kept out the part about how she hoped that they would get back together.

Raphaël was convinced that his best friend, Natalia Alvarez was the most stubborn person in the world. He had been trying to convince her that maybe James didn't mean it for the past thirty minutes, and all she had understood from it all was that it was all her fault for ruining everything.

"But I don't care, I didn't want to be in a relationship yet either way," she mumbled. But, oh, she did. And it hurt her more than she wanted to admit. "He can see whoever he wants because we are not together, and I wouldn't care."

Raphaël stared at her sadly, he knew she was hurting but she just didn't want to seem like she was so affected by it. She wanted to seem strong and that as if she didn't care- but she cared so much, more than she wanted too.

Natalia sighed, she felt so stupid. For trying to convince herself she didn't feel hurt and the fact that she thought they would be getting back together. Before she knew it, a tear had escaped from one of her beautiful chocolate-brown-eyes, but she quickly wiped it away- hoping that Raphaël had not seen it.

"I guess I just wanted everything to be perfect again- or just back to what I thought was perfect. But like he said, we aren't together. So I shouldn't be worried about him at all," she had practically told herself that the entire week. But it seemed to sound more stupid after each day. She thought about him all the time, and she hated that fact that he was all she could possibly think about.

"Lia, don't cry," he mumbled as his much taller figure hugged her much smaller figure- she practically looked like a child standing next to Raphaël. "Plus, it's a match day today! You shouldn't be sad, you're watching your favorite team," he smiled. Natalia smiled back at him, not a day where he would not make her smile be or not make her feel better about whatever she was going through.

"I seriously don't know how you have so much energy to be so happy all the time," she laughed. "But I'm going, just for you."

"We know that's a lie, you'd live in the Bernabéu if you could."

Natalia wasn't going to lie, she was actually really excited to watch the match. But that's how she felt about almost every single match. She felt as if she would be witnessing a live match for the first time, but in reality she had been to so many matches she had lost count.

After 90+ minutes of her practically yelling, and stressing out with the other WAGs, the match had ended with a victory for Los Blancos.

She waited for him, near the exit of the locker rooms, everyone practically knew her so they always let her in to the more private areas that were only for the players. Plus, Raphaël- being the best friend ever- had gotten her a pass, so she could practically go anywhere in the stadium.

As she waited, which she distracted herself by using her phone and scrolling through Instagram liking random posts. She heard a voice coming from the nearby bathrooms. The woman talked on her phone- giggling obnoxiously almost after every sentence- which she found annoying but she wouldn't say anything.

The woman stood nearby the locker rooms as well, probably waiting for one of the players. Natalia wasn't really into the personal lives of many of the footballers- even though many of them were friends of hers- she didn't really know whether she was a WAG or just a family member of one of the players.

The woman smiled at Natalia, which Natalia then kindly smiled back and then continued to her scrolling on various social media applications.

She heard the door open, and she quickly looked up hoping it was Raphaël. But it wasn't, and it was instead was the last person she wanted to see at this moment.

"James," the girl exclaimed. Natalia's head began making connections and her head screamed Sofia. That the girl who James was with was Sofia- and she had found her somewhat familiar from the time that she had seen James with a girl in the café.

Only a few seconds later, Raphaël came out and his eyes widened at what he saw. Raphaël had tried to leave early so there was no way Natalia would bump into James- just so she wouldn't be sad about him again. But it was too late.

Raphaël coughed, "well I'll see you next practice James. Great game, and see you soon!" He said, trying to pull Natalia away from James and Sofia.

James didn't even say goodbye because, Raphaël had already dragged her out the door before he could even say a word.

"That was weird," Sofia laughed. James didn't know wether Sofia was faking the fact that she didn't know that Natalia was his ex-girlfriend, or if she truly just didn't know.

Raphaël sighed as they finally reached his car and they were seated already. Both of them stayed in silence.

"The only reason why James probably said that was because, he was already seeing someone. Rapha, he was seeing her while he was with me," she had come to a conclusion, but she felt that she would've been better without knowing. "I can't believe I was actually starting to believe the bullshit you were saying about him not meaning anything," she shook her head.

"I understand that we weren't together, and that it shouldn't have affected me so much. But I thought we were getting somewhere," she paused. "Maybe the only reason why it hurts so much is because I'm so in love with him, while he's probably falling for someone else."

i'm lowkey shook because this book is going to end pretty soon.
