JAMES TRULY DIDN'T UNDERSTAND how he had been so lucky to have gotten a second chance; a second chance at them. But he had been too blind to even realize that her heart had returned to him, but all he did was hurt her even more.He hated how he would only realize his mistake until after everything occurred. That he could prevent many things from occurring, but he never realized it.
Maybe everything she said a few nights ago was true, and the fact that what they felt for each other when they met was possibly not love right away; but there was no denying that it hasn't taken much time before they were in love.
Natalia was angry and frustrated, and she said many and many things that she didn't mean. But she always questioned if meeting James was ever a mistake. She would never admit it to herself, but she knew that meeting James would never be a mistake. Meeting him was actually one of the best things that had ever happened to her. Despite all the heartbreak she had gone through over the years.
He wished he could explain how he felt towards her, and the love, all the love he had for Natalia Álvarez- the girl who had his heart wholly. But he had never been good with words; less explaining anything. No actions could ever explain how much he loved her.
He wanted her to know how much she meant for him. That she was his entire world, his heart in human form, and that without her- he could never be who he was today.
There were millions of things he could do, and none could ever show how much he loved her. He could buy her anything her heart desired, and it wouldn't be enough.
James sighed to himself as he looked around his empty and quiet home. He hated being alone. What was the point of owning a huge house if he lived alone? If he had no one to look forward to waking up with, spending his day with, and cuddling at the end of the night with?
Not having Natalia around, and overall not being on good terms with her, made James feel even more lonelier. He had his teammates, who were close friends of his- but he still couldn't help but still feel lonely.
But that's how it felt to lose someone- he had experienced it when he left for Germany. No matter how many people he had around him- he felt lonely. Nothing would necessarily matter unless he had the only person he wanted by his side. He thought it was strange that someone could feel so lonely while having the attention of the entire world; but that attention didn't necessarily matter if it wasn't from the person you needed it from. As well as the love he received, it didn't mean much to him, unless it was from the girl who had his heart.
James took a deep breathe and closed his eyes, as he lied back on the soft fabric of his sofa. Everything felt peaceful for a few minutes, but that was quickly cut short when he heard the loud and annoying ringing of his phone. He let out a frustrated groan and fished for his phone that was in his pocket. Sofia. He read her name across the bright screen of his phone.
