One Last Glance

Time came like the rushing of waves. Sa mga nagdaang araw lang ay video call at chat lang ang komunikasyon sa aming dalawa. Not that we don't want to be in each other but he's got some appoinment to do. When I say appointment, it's his game practice. Yeah, he's player, basketball player. Syempre, I won't meddle in his practice but I want to watch him play hindi ko nga lang alam kung paano. Nahihiya ako, I admit. Sa totoo lang nahihiya akong makita ulit sina Kuya Prince and his friends, noong una ko ngang nakita sila ay halos magtago na ako sa mga halaman eh. Truth be told, they're not just your typical basketball players, they are so dmn good-looking. Ricci's on the first list of course.

Pagkapasok ko palang sa una kong klase ay nahagip na bg aking paningin ang malawak na espasyo ng aming silid. Kakaonti palang ang mga estudyante at ako palang ang pang-apat na nakarating. Ang dalawa aa aking kanan ay malayang nag-uusap at mukhang magkaibigan sila and to the other two, they have their own world I guess.

Wala namang nakapansin sa aking pagpasok kaya naman malaya akong nakahanap ng magandang pwesto. I chose to sit at the middle front part of the room. I prefer sitting in front than to sit at the back. I can't focus when I'm at the back. We waited for another half an hour and we started our first class.

Just as the usual first day meeting, our first professor started to tell his story. Not that I'm bored but he consumed the whole hour saying all his achievements in life. I admit that he's intelligent, mahahalata mo naman iyon sa kanyang pananalita at galaw.

Ano na nga kayang ginagawa ni Mich ngayon? We are supposed to take the same course but of course, business isn't my line, she is. Naintindihan naman ito nina Mama at Papa kaya hindi na ako nahirapang kumbisihin sila.

"Okay class, that would be all for today. See you around."

He fixed his books and immediately got out of our room. Sumunod naman ako pagkatapos dahil ten minutes nalang at next class ko na. Palapit na ako sa next floor at doon ay nakasalubong ko si Brent. Ricci's bestfriend and team mates.

"Nice seeing you here, Maddy."

"I am too." I gave him a smile and looked his back.

"Oh, narito na pala siya. What took you so long?" He asked to Ricci na kakarating lang.

"May inasikaso lang." Napatingin siya sa pwesto ko and he immediately greeted me.

"Hi Dy! How's your first day?"

He smiled widely and talked a little loud. Napasobrahan siguro kaya naman narinig ito ng ibang mga estudyanteng dumaraan at tinignan kami, more of ako pala. Nagtataka siguro sila kung bakit nila ako kinakausap.

"It's good!"

I looked intently at him and noticed that he was actually smiling from ear to ear.

"Kaya pala ganadong-ganado itong si Ricci. May nagpapasaya na pala sa bestfriend ko."

Tukso ni Brent habang ang paningin ay nakatuon kay Ricci.

Ricci just laughed to what Brent said. Hindi man lamg dineny. But somehow it made me blush a little. Ramdam ko ang pagtitig nilang dalawa sa akin at kung pwede lang ay gusto ko nang lamunin ng lupa.

Bago pa man din ako malunod sa mga tingin ni Ricci ay mabilis na akong nagpaalam sa susunod kong klase. I know I'm late so, wala na akong magagawa. All I have to do is to still enter that subject.

"Looks like we have another addition to the class. Your name Miss?"

I was a little bit shocked kasi sobrang bata pang tignan ng Instructor ko. I thought that he would be old, but it turns out that he could be this handsome and young.

My other classmates were oggling at him, I can see that dahil iyon din naman ang reaksyon ko tuwing nakikita si Ricci. I smiled at that thought, even in this instance siya pa rin ang iniisip ko.

"Uhmm, Maddison Zamora sir."

"Okay Miss Zamora, you can tale your seat now."

"Thank you sir."

I headed straight at the back dahil wala ng bakanteng upuan sa harap. Luckily, may isa naman akong katabi but he's kind of creepy. Ang haba-haba ng buhok na abot hanggang dulo, parang sa buhok dati ni Justin Bieber. He was staring and listening intently to our instructor, may matangos rin siyang ilong. Nakaside view lang ngunit bakas dito ang gandang lalaki niya.

After a while, he stared back at me. Nagulat ako kaya naman napabaling ang tingin ko sa harap.

"The next time you'll look at me, I'll kiss you."

That guy! What the heck did he just said?! Urgh! Sinabi ba niyang hahalikan ako? Baliw ba siya? Ano?

"Wh..what?!"

Napalakas ang pagkakasabi ko kaya naman nahinto sa pagsasalita ang instructor. Pati ang mga classmates ko ay nakatingin na sa akin. He chuckled but not enough to hear my other classmates.

"Do you have a problem Miss?"

"None Sir."

He continued and I on the other hand, tried to listem to him. Hindi ko na ulit siya tinignan at baka totohanin yung sinabi niya kanina.
